The voices were with her ever since she was hatched. She couldn't stand them. They were loud, deafening even. Whispering her name, clutching at her wings, never letting go. She couldn't even find peace in studying, like her sisters did.

She has searched for the answer long and hard, and at last she found it. Her ancestor, One-with-the-Shadows, the Solitary one. She could never be related to him, not in the eyes of the others.

So she followed in his footsteps without knowing: she flew away, as fast and as far as the wings could take her.

She had a talent, though, and it served her well wherever she went: every time she laid out her deck of cards, she could read a soul of any dragon that stood or sat before her. Dragons are curious creatures, and not all of them are stingy, and thus she never went hungry.
