Under this pressure, under this weight, We are diamonds, taking shape. x Quirky and lively, Sylanna is the current Leader of Clan Wyrmheart and a visionary mystic. Her egg was found by Shandora on the first Night of the Nocturne event, and as a hatchling, always had a penchant to doing things in a very strange, roundabout manner. The clan put off by her freaky behavior as it was testing the limits of their patience, but Shan's supportive and nurturing presence helped bypass this difficulty. Upon reaching adulthood, Sylanna confined to the Broodmother about the strangeness surrounding her personality - she is able to see patterns surrounding objects that seem to predict events that are going to happen, effectively being able to glimpse in the future. Though it was hard to conceive, nonetheless Shandora believed her, and stood by her side when Sylanna started acting with more determination about her visions, to the great bewilderment of the other clan mates. Objects were subtly moved a few inches; others seemed to disappear completely, only to appear a few days later, slightly altered - like they were swapped out with something else. Occasionally, a clan member would find their meal disturbed by the frantic swatting of her claws, raving about something bad happening to them. |

The clan finally believed and respected Sylanna's gift of foresight when she attempted to stop a scouting expedition led by the First Roostfather, Mekion, warning him that a great tragedy was imminent. Unfortunately, she failed to convince him, and he ventured forth with his pack, only for them to return without him. It was with great sorrow and shock that they relayed the news to the Broodmother, who fell in a great depression at the loss of her mate. In her sorrow, she harshly admonished her clan for not believing Sylanna's claims and, to everyone's great surprise, passed down the mantle of leadership to the mystic. Despite the adversity, however, the Nocturne persevered with the help of her visionary gifts, sharp wit and unusual perspective - eventually moving the clan over to the Shifting Expanse and pledging themselves to the Stormcatcher. She claims that in her vision, the Clan's heart would be reignited with the strike of lightning and will beat as loud as a thunderstorm. The transition was hard to swallow, having to re-establish their lair, their territory and their hoard once more, but eventually the clan mates accepted Sylanna's decision and followed in her wisdom - she has steered them away from great threats, guided them to bountiful areas for gathering and led to the redemption of the Broodmother, snapping her out of her grief. Presently, Sylanna is active in the clan as the Seer and Gathering Advisor, her second sight guiding the Wyrmheart's scouting parties to the richer expedition spots. She still has the tendency to misplace her fellow's belongings and pilfer their meals, but everyone knows better than to second-guess her visions now. Although she is the de facto leader of the Wyrmhearts, she shares the authority with Shandora and Kondre, forming a Matriarch Council. |
