Biography
SHANDORA WYRMHEART - THE BROODMOTHER KIND – MOTHERLY – REDEEMED |
You don't have to love me.
There's one thing you should know, My love will not unravel, it's unconditional. My indigo. x Also known as The Founding Broodmother, it is through Shandora's dedication, devotion and selflesness that the clan is still standing strong. Originally an orphan of the Starfall Isles, Shan founded the clan together with the Founding Roostfather, Mekion. A tragic circumstance brought the loss of her mate, and in her sorrow, she passed on the mantle of leadership to the Nocturne, Sylanna. In her period of mourning, she isolated herself from the clan's daily life, retreating to the darkest recesses of the lair and taking only the bare minimum of nourishment and consideration. The other clan-members did their best to raise her spirits: they brought her offerings from all across Sornieth; they adopted many hatchlings and raised them as their own ... but none of the things that once brought her joy seemed to work. The Broodmother was suffering - and the clan was suffering alongside her, bracing to mourn her passing. However, she did not pass away. Although her body was weak and her spirit crushed, she succeeded in following the Clan when they moved their lair and pledged themselves to the Stormcatcher instead. It was a monumental change, and the clan worked tirelessly to rebuild their lair and gather back their hoard, but they succeeded. And though Shandora still kept to herself in this period of hardship, she watched ... and pondered it all. One day, the Guardian was missing from her usual spot, to the Wyrmhearts' great distress - Sylanna, however, calmed down their worst fears and asked for them all to believe in their Broodmother. A week passed before she finally returned home, charged with a vibrancy of life reminiscing her younger days. Though she appeared to be unharmed, her scales bore the marks of golden light patterned beautifully across her body. She was cured of her grief and returned to the clan renewed, ready to be at their side once more. Presently, Shandora is active in the clan life as a Nestkeeper, participating in the raising and babysitting of hatchlings, offering them her full attention and energy. Her presence is a great comfort to expecting parents, and she is quick to claim any abandoned or unwanted hatchlings as her own children. Although she is no longer the official leader of the Wyrmhearts, all the clan members respect her authority and abide by her wisdom - nobody dares to question the love and devotion she has for her children: the Clan itself. Despite her gentle demeanor, her strength is not to be underestimated - Shan was the first warrior of the clan, and has the experience of many battles to prove it. She will not hesitate to fight to the death for the Wyrmhearts, and any who dare to threaten a hatchling will soon find the Fury of the First Broodmother to be swift and terrible. |
