The wind under your wings, the breeze upon your scales. The world you weather as you soar as you please. Being on your own, meant the peace and solitude you've always craved. However, being so also meant never knowing who was there to harm, help, or simply be a hinderance. Every sound was a potential threat. Every warm smile could turn into a sinister one when your back is turned. That was always how it was. It didn't matter who her parents were or where they are now, she had always been alone, from her lone egg to now, it was all she knew. "its for the best." she would tell herself. Its why the sound of humming that approached her was met with hostility. It was hard to know who was passing through, and who came specifically for you.

To say Floren was spooked would be an understatement. While he was looking for place to rest for the coming hour on his journey, Cerulean only saw a potential enemy. Floren would tell stories of how the life of a forest would turn into a frozen wasteland just locking eyes with her, though, no one would ever really know if he was telling the truth for what it was, or exaggerating, and none dared to approach Cerulean, much less to tell the story of how she first met her eventual mate. Floren would almost instantly back up in fear only to start telling a story about strange sardines that had a peculiar rainbow stripe on the side of them that tasted like fruit. While he would attempt to explain the reason he had came to the spot that Cerulean called her home for the time being, it had confused her enough to cause her to listen to his ramblings only to eventually make a request of him, "Fetch these fish." She would almost command of him, and Floren, without much thought, since it was mainly the reason he had stopped, went to get the aforementioned fish, with a few extra to prove his story to his new friend.

Cerulean would consume this new strange meal, and in discovering its truth, would, at least for the time being, trust Floren. He would tell stories about his new home and the clan he and his siblings had managed to gather. He would go on and on, and Cerulean would not utter a single word, simply nodding along as she listened. Eventually, they would part ways and Floren would continue his journey and Cerulean would be left with her thoughts. She did enjoy the company of another dragon strangely enough, though, the idea of having to tolerate the sick and weak, it seemed to go against her instincts for survival. She would not see him for weeks, continuing her own wandering, but his stories keeping her mind company during the silent nights alone.

She would come to piece together the details of the stories, coming to find the clan on her own. Iris would be the one to greet her and welcome her in. When she asked about how she knew who she was, Iris would laugh and answer it simply,

"Well, you were all dear Floren talked about. With his details, you look just as I imagined."

Some would say they saw her pale face turn rose when she arrived, though, those who mentioned it would also coincidentally, and completely unrelated, find arrows in their backside, if not inches from their heads. She now remains as a renown hunter, fetching strange requests for meals, which she would take as her own challenges to entertain herself. On few occasions Aqua would accompany her, and while they exchanged few words, if any at all, some would consider them sisters.

____A stupid and silly man. He always spoke so highly of his family and how they could rely on each other, it made her sick. Always with his siblings and never left alone except on his excursions? Must have been nice to have a choice. He remembered every little thing about everyone he ever met. Their favorite food, their favorite snack, how they liked to close their eyes to take in the warmth of the sun, or bury themselves in dirt to cool off. Floren always kept note of it, and always took care of his clan, his family.

It drove her mad. How can someone care so much about other people? How can anyone put so much trust in strangers? She hated relying on others. She hated how he was so eager to meet new dragons, new creatures and see new places. She hated it. . .

. . . but even so, all of those reasons were why she fell in love with him.

____The Ventis bloodline may have been long, but its own lineage was short. Floren and his siblings had decided to all start families of their own, and rather than sharing a name between them had decided to all chose their own.

Floren wasn't a great father, nor a bad one. He was the father you asked for, if you were willing to tell him. If you wanted him to support you, he did. If you wanted him to teach you, he did. If you told him to leave you alone, he did. However, this alliance between nature's beauty and the quick sharpness of the storm was one that did not suit all.

Some sought to enjoy the peace and tranquility the world had to offer, while others struck first and fought for what they wanted like a raging storm that would ravage the lands it passed through. They would become what was needed of them, just as their father had become for them. They were perfect blank slates. Cheerful prophets of peace, or refined soldiers of duty. How would they be of service to you?
