-ABOUT-

Deep in the section of a cave, separated from the rest of dragonkind except for their mother and their father. Java was born alongside their siblings. The middle child of the three, Java oozed a cocktail of dark goop from their body. They were not as powerful as their goat-eyed sister, but it was still noticeable that magic surged through their horn and their pearl. Java was coarse and prickly. Cold even as a hatchling, yet filled with a high amount of intelligence. He never got along with the other dragons. Ambrose was too focused on opening up his potential, his mother was too arrogant, and his siblings could never understand his quiet nature.

When Rad disappeared, Java did not react much. Yes, that was their mother, but family never mattered much. Their older half-sibling, Hex, shared the sentiment, telling them that she did not have a close connection to her mother either. Java wondered if ze should feel bad, but those thoughts were soon replaced with the growth of the Shade. It wrangled inside of hir, trying to detach hir from reality. Java fought back, not wanting to be a puppet like his father or his little sister. So, he wondered. He collected food in an attempt to become a master cook and mused about his nature.

Java thinks a lot, but out of everything they were thinking about at the moment, they were thinking about their curse. They knew they were cursed. All of the family was. It came from their grandparent, Rivulet. It was their curse to bear, but whatever thoughts of curses were in hir head. It soon became apparent that Ambrose was far more concerned about leading the dragons into corrupting others than whatever Java thought. Ze reluctantly went along with this. Ze did not have much else, choice, after all. Deep down, however, Java wishes to make a life of his own. Travel across the world, make the best meals he can, and become a normal dragon once and for all.

-PERSONALITY-

Out of all of their clutch, Java is the dragon that is closest to their father both personality-wise and relationship-wise. A rather coarse dragon who is rarely nice to others. Java comes off as rude and irritable, not wanting to speak with other dragons and sticking to themselves. Ze behaves strangely, staring into hir corrupted pearl and wondering about the things that could have been. When ze is not being asocial, however, ze is quite adventurous. Java wishes to explore the world one day and enjoys being placed in new situations. The world is his oyster and even though he lacks the social skills of his clutchmates, there is still a lot of wonder to him as he flies on his tinted wings.

Life is difficult when infected by the Shade, however, and he struggles a lot with his inner corruption. He never asked to be taken over by the Shade, but the goop that drips from his body affects his mind. When taken over by the darkness, Java becomes even more detached than usual. They’re lonely, they’re an outcast, and they know it. Perhaps one day, the curse will break, but for now, Java is destined to be by themselves. They are rarely sad, instead being introspective and curious around others.

While ze’s not a Plague dragon, out of all the siblings, ze got the master cooking skills of Carne Guisada. This pearlcatcher knows how to cook anything from herbal remedies to delightful insect dishes. Java hopes to go big with hir cooking career one day, but with Ambrose’s machinations, it seems impossible. Ze has been trying to come into contact with hir grandmother, Echino, in hopes of learning of hir heritage. Life is strange, but Java views the world of cooking as beautiful. Sadly, ze hardly sees anyone, so ze wonders if ze ever has a chance.

I am a Descendant of Sash! You might be asking -- who is Sash? Well, she's the dragon on-site with the ID #420, which is what makes her so noteable. Because of this ID number, for obvious reasons, she gets joked about a fair bit and receives a huge amount of attention compared to your average dragon. While Sash may have "ascended to meet her fate" according to her now-inactive owner, her bloodline continues to spread far and wide across Sornieth, carrying her legacy with them!
