Biography

An Imperial such as herself was pursued by many a clan leader. Being born to the beginning of an imperial bloodline (or a "Gen 1" as some of the leaders called it) brought a heavy expectation that she would never live up to.

So she left. She changed her name, changed her primary to match her beloved Chrosite, and wrote novel after novel, creating entire sagas and theatrical plays that nobody paid any mind to, which is why she was surprised when she was approached with an offer—join the protection of the Kimo in exchange for more works from her.

That is how she found herself in a Marketplace surrounded by bloodline-beginners. It was odd—a clan so hostile towards those with lineages welcomed her immediately. As it turned out, Wildfire—the leader—was a massive fan of her works, and apparently had an entire library built entirely for her.

She could be happy here, she decided, and put her life of wandering as a starving artist behind her. She had become close friends with the leader and her guards, and she got along with everyone.

Life was okay, she would be fine.

Rhodonite's role as librarian means that she also has to collect data on every citizen in Kimo, even those who are temporary guests, for Wildfire.

"I assume you know the business I run, Gem."

Rhodonite jerked her head in a nod, nervously flaring her mane as Wildfire's glowing eyes bore into her own, the two bodyguards watching from the side. Wildfire continued, idly inspecting her claws as she leaned over her desk.

"That is rather odd, considering I never said anything...You're a smart one, Gem. You're really smart, its why you wrote such glorious works!" Wildfire sighed happily, before turning back to Rhodonite. "Typically, this is the part where I sick my lovely friends onto you, but I enjoy your company and your works too much."

Rhodonite felt like a bucket of ice was poured over her. She hadn't even meant to find out, she had just been studying the history written down in the large Novel and had noticed some oddities—had she known she would have her life in danger from it...

She looked up at Wildfire with a pleading, desperate expression.

"Don't make that face at me, aish..." Wildfire held her friend's hand with her smaller claws, offering a rare smile. "Listen, I'm trying to comfort you, but uhm. Listen, I'll get to the point—I can't keep an eye on what everyone does at all times. New dragons move in and out and honestly I don't know most by name. Thats why I want you to write a Directory, just for me! I'll commission you, just like old times!"

Rhodonite wanted to smile alongside Wildfire, but ever since she had found out the dirty work Wildfire did... It was difficult to look at her close friend the same.

Just like old times...

She wanted to act like she did before. Wildfire was still Wildfire, right?

She forced a smile and held Wildfire's outstretched hands, finding herself giggling at Wildfire's cheer as Loreweaver and Sagasinger slung arms around her.

They were her friends, and she didn't like what they did, but they were still the same dragons.

She would write the best Directory they had ever seen for them.

House of Kimo
Those who are considered more important than all others reside in a mansion that oversees the Kimo Market-Town. Wildfire dictates who lives and who has to move out, but be warned—those that move out are never seen again.

WILDFIRE • Queen of Kimo
Ruler of Kimo Market-Town, Wildfire maintains her rule with an iron claw, and isn't afraid to do some dirty work to keep her position as "Queen". She hates having her power questioned.

SAGASINGER • Bodyguard
Brother to Loreweaver, Sagasinger acts as the seeing eye among Wildfire's guards, and uses his keen eye to watch potential traitors. He has a secret soft spot for animals.

LOREWEAVER • Bodyguard
Sister to Sagasinger, Loreweaver acts as the main muscle among Wildfire's guards. She is difficult to escape due to her athletic prowess, and takes enjoyment in reaffirming her (and Wildfire's) power.

DEVOTION
Wildfire's loyal followers. Every dragon here is a part of Wildfire's "Business", and while dirty work is typically reserved for guards, those in Devotion sometimes find themselves needing to do it for her instead. Despite the dangerous aspect of living in a town overrun by Wildfire and her gang, each merchant finds it to be safer than a normal market-town, as long as they remain loyal to Wildfire.

ATTICUS • Librarian
The second Librarian of Kimo and Rhodonite's adoptive brother, Atticus spends most of his time writing rather than organizing like he should be doing. Wildfire is fond of his bluntness.

LONAN • Florist
A former Trick of Light, Lonan hates the limits their new body has. Their old powers remain, however, and they enjoy conjuring blooms across town.

FANGCUTTER • Harvester

LUNE • Potterymaker
Lune enjoys Wildfire's rule and is typically the one to encourage others to move in. Her skilled hands create elaborate figures out of clay, and she has been commissioned by Wildfire several times.

CIRCUS • Psychic
Circus was gifted with the power of foresight as a hatching, and makes a decent profit in Kimo as a psychic. Wildfire has invited him multiple times to live in the House of Kimo, yet he has denied each time, using his foresight as an excuse—"It is not in my cards to live there", "I am destined to stay here", and "There will come another" are his most common excuses. In truth, he has seen the chaos that is coming, and desires to stay out of the crossfire when it finally happens. Besides, he truly does enjoy his stall and home as it is, anyways.

Gossamer • Candlemaker
Gossamer was an odd case in terms of dragons moving into Kimo. For starters, he immediately befriended Sagasinger (unheard of outside of Rhodonite!) and secondly because he came specifically to work, not even for protection. An odd one, indeed.

PANDORA • Rebel
Pandora once dreamed of glory, however as she aged she became too weak to do so. She acts as a spy for Phagus, hoping that one day she will be in the history books.

XINYI • Chef
Xinyi is a famed chef among Aberrations. His gumbo and chili brings a nice audience to Kimo, and Wildfire appreciates his food skills. However, mayhaps she should keep a closer eye on his true intentions...

KHUR • Role
A young prince, Khur had been destined to a life of lavish luxury. However, an attack by enemies murdered his entire kingdom, and now he resides with Pandora, aware of the spying and yearning to join.

PLAGUE OF GE
Plaguebringer wishes for her children to expand, to take over the rest of Sornieth. While most have resorted to purely violent means to gather control, this group of Plaguelings seem intent on utilizing trade to spread Her influence...and maybe some violence, too.

PHAGUS • Ge Leader
Phagus has seen more than any dragon who dare challenge him. His face folds with time, his hide is scarred by countless won and lost battles. He is smart, and fully willing to use it to his advantage...though brute force is favored, as well.

FIGUEROA • Follower
Desperate for the approval of Phagus, each of Figueroa's acts is for Phagus. She wishes to be treated like royalty, and believes if Phagus sees her as a daughter, she'll get what she wants.

LUCILLE • Follower
A skilled animal handler, Lucille uses her animal friends to spread diseases, and is waiting for Phagus' sign to release a hoard of sicknesses onto the innocent civilians.

EMU • Beast
Emu is a rabid Corgi who is immune to the Plaguemother's diseases and able to spread them as far as he wants. He looks infected, but a quick bath allows him ample camoflauge.

KHAOS
A random cluster of young dragons have begun to gather on the outskirts of Kimo. The leader, Qiu, claims to only care for chaos and selling gemstones. Wildfire tolerates their presence.

QIU • Khaos President
Qiu is the eldest of the Khaos Army by only a few years. Just a teenager, Qiu aims to spread chaos across Sornieth for "the betterment of temperement!"

AIGUL • Lieutenant
As the youngest (still having downy fluff on his neck), Aigul typically copies what other Khaoslings do. He wants to be like Batu when he's older.

BATU • Lieutenant
A fiery dragonet, Batu enjoys wreaking havoc with Qiu and Aigul. She can be seen planting numerous weeds in other dragon's lawns, much to their chagrin.

OUTBURDEN
Those who reside in the Outburden act as the Market's farmers, tending to the land and harvesting the nature in order to provide for both potential buyers and the residents themselves. It is considered the "free-est" part of Kimo.

LOTTA • Shepherd
Do not let Lotta's appearance fool you. His clan has spent so long tending to sheep and goats that they have begun to look like them and are able to speak their language. Wildfire appreciates his punctuality.

CEMETERY
This is where the Supernatural rest. Many spirits who were executed under Wildfire are too angry, to furious to exist coherently. Those who either moved in or existed before Kimo find joy in the chaos and discord of the market.

ROMA • Groundskeeper
Roma wandered into Kimo as a wee hatchling, and due to her affinity to death (as seen with her familiar) was immediately sent to work the graveyards, unintentionally isolated from their peers.

Unnamed • Trickster
Do not give them your name, for you will never be yourself again. Centuries without an identity has left the trickster dangerous, believing that they will never face any punishment.

KAFUR • Vengeful
Kafur roamed the Colonnades long before Kimo was built, and thrives off of the plentiful souls that enter his realm, even if most of them are incoherent and crazed. He is looking forward to Pandora's demise the most.

MOTHER • Controlling
Perhaps the oldest of the spirits in the Graveyards, Mother is fullest during the eclipse.They lure countless dragons to their lair, caring for them as children and using them to lure more in.

THE WILDS
Past the borders of Kimo lies a herd of dragons and beasts alike, united by a shared sense of wild and chaotic behaviour and the overarching urge to survive. Wildfire wants to control these ones, but finds them too dangerous to make direct contact with for now.
