Qiang

-His wings never fell off, so now he has useless wings attached to him

Qiang had been a ruthless hunter in his herd, a vicious and bloodthirsty machine that brought home tons of prey for his pack of fellow mirrors. He was incredibly happy with his life, and was even on the way to becoming the pack leader.

But of course, he grew impatient. He wanted power immediately, he had so many ideas for how to run the pack and he couldn't, wouldn't wait for the old leader to die. So, with the help of his most loyal followers, he tried to take down the leader.

He failed. He failed, his followers were slain, and he was left for dead on the outskirts of the abiding boneyard. By some miracle, he was found by a cloaked pearlcatcher.

He was too close to unconsciousness to notice anything, until suddenly he wasn't on the brink of death.

Until suddenly, he was a cerdae.

He is bitter about being reduced to a creation of the Gladekeeper, not even fully transformed and still retaining aspects of his life as a mirror. How ironic that he could never fly yet still looked at his useless wings and wished to return to normal?

He doesn't remember meeting Caribou and Oiseaux, only remembering that Caribou was his type of friend and that Oiseaux... well, if Oiseaux left. he wouldn't miss her.

Maybe one day he'll be a leader again, but for now he'd rather forget that wanting to be a leader turned him into this.
