HODOS THE MOST WRATHFUL

╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮ "Power...that is what changes the world." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Hodos was never one to take orders. Reveling in the constant warring of the First Age, Hodos regularly took daring journeys outside of the confines of his underground hiding place to study the art of combat. A fearsome and formidable deity, Hodos was the definition of wrath. During the Second Age, at the height of his influence, both warriors and travelers alike prayed for his protection and guidance. During the Great War, it was his bellowing voice that compelled and commanded his siblings and led the fight for their place in Soreneith. Despite his best efforts, however, the Great War was lost. This loss led to, like his siblings, a life in seclusion. Today, he is said to reside among the towering mountains overlooking his city-clan. From his hidden lair, nestled amidst craggy peaks, Hodos observes the city he once fiercely protected. His burning eyes, blinded by war, are now a constant reminder of his smoldering rage and unyielding desire for vengeance. Though hidden from the world, his presence looms large, casting a shadow over the city's inhabitants, who revere and fear him despite his absence. His followers whisper hushed tales of his impending return, dreaming that he will once again lead his siblings in war against the false gods to reclaim his sibling's glory, and his rightful place as the patron deity of war and strength. |
| It is on the battlefield that lies near the outskirts of Clan Petrarum, nicknamed the Malice of Mortuus, where Hodos's followers find their patron god's favor. Hodos watches with great amusement from his mountainous home above the rocky, war-scarred battlefield that he has claimed as his: a warrior who bravely fights off the Beastclan will receive great glory, and an explorer who is brave enough to tough out the dangerous terrain will find undeniable success in their travels. Hodos looks for, and values, bravery. And, if one has proven themselves enough, they may be called upon once the day comes to once again war against the false Elemental gods for the land he and his siblings are entitled to... |
