Biography
Luna |
"in the sunlight / i read with my cold, sharp eyes"
Every Morning, Mary Oliver |
Luna’s father is always after her about acting civilized. To his credit, he never wants her to actually be civilized, only to act that way long enough to not create trouble for herself in draconic society. But she isn’t even barely interested in that, pity for him, and she’s not above simply turning into a giant wolf to avoid having to learn things like table manners and small talk. Who needs literacy when she can read every twitch of a rabbit’s whiskers, or the way the clouds shift to signal that they’re about to start dumping rain? Who needs etiquette when what really matters is all out here, between her and the wild?
