Biography
LUNA |
"i woke and went out to stand in the yard / and there was no moon"
Spring, Mary Oliver |
Luna only shows up in the moonlight. This is quite literal - in the daytime, or on the night of the new moon, she’s nearly transparent. She spends this time huddled vulnerable in some hiding-place, wishing she could vanish into dreams like her siblings can, wondering - if someone found her and touched her right now, would she shatter like glass? |
Misprint
Cherub/Savannah Bee/Jester Capsule/Veined Ersatz’s dreams are haunted by the beast she’s chasing down. On full-moon nights, she wakes up to little off-colour copies of herself: gifts from her quarry, or threats? |

Some say that such beasts appear in dreams to lure the sleeping from their beds in the night. Others believe that they were once mortals, their forms shifted and contorted under the moonlight. They are known by many names, but one rings out among the legends. Barghest.[br][br]Created from witch-magic, the Barghest curse runs through the blood of Imperials, transmitted or passed down through the generations via blood or bite. Those affected often experience lycanthropy on full moons, although some of those born with the curse maintain the forms of enormous fairytale dogs even in the absence of moonlight. Barghests have the unique ability to walk between realms - often concealing themselves within reflective surfaces or dreams. They hunt by severing their victims' minds and spirits from their bodies, trapping them in dream-realms and preying on the energy emitted as this bond severs.[br][br][columns][item=ice runestone][nextcol]Ice: Those with blind eyes still see. These beasts prefer the cold and can most often be found haunting the vacant tundra of the Southern Icefields. [br]

Cataracts: can cause the eyes of mortals to cloud over with blindness[br]
Absolute Zero: capable of dropping ambient temperatures[br]
Mirroring: capable of hiding in reflective surfaces and haunting the reflections of mortals in mirrors[br]
[/columns][br][br]Requirements: None[/columns][br]------

As their corporeal forms faded away, they breathed life into their successors with their dying breaths, and through magic and stardust, the Two gave life and purpose to Three.[br][br]The first-born, Luck, was a curious and mischievous god, tipping the scales of fate in and out of favor of mortals and gods alike.[br][br]In his youth, Luck tended to tip the scales toward the catastrophic, seeing how far he could push before the world reached its breaking point, testing the limits and watching the chaos and destruction unfold before moving on, never lingering in one place for long.[br][br]As he matured, the catastrophic results of his interference in the mortal realm were soon played out, and he found new pleasure in influencing more favorable changes in the lives of others. Luck’s transient life took him around the world a hundred times over and a hundred times again as the centuries ticked by, sharing good fate and fortune on a whim and sending the scales tipping toward the less favorable when a stranger piqued his ire.[br][br]Eventually, he set up a life modeled after the mortals of Sornieth, learning to enjoy the simple pleasures, delighting in the day-to-day triumphs of a simple life, immersing himself into the world of mortality[br][br]His descendants are each imbued with the gift of immortality and a sway over other's and their own fates.[br][br]Requirements: None[/columns][br]------
