 Valtur The Magician / Alchemist

DESCRIPTION Personality A dragon of few words, Valtur is not much of a speaker. He, however, is known to have a heart of gold; he is willing to help and be there for any member of his clan that needs it, no matter how small or ridiculous the situation is. Although he tends to be the loner type, he enjoys the company of other dragons who he holds dearly; one of those being his apprentices. They consider him to be a caring and wise figure, even if he can be hard to understand sometimes, as he is of an unpredictable character. Occupation Valtur works as the alchemist and brewer of the clan. He prepares powerful potions to be used by warriors of the clan during hunts and battles. He does like to experiment and create new formulas to see the secondary effects. Some experiments of his end in unfortunate and embarassing events for his students; but nothing that could be fatal. He also dedicates his free time into teaching magic to those dragons interested in harnessing the power of special crystals that only grow in the clan's area. He lectures them about the different uses of these gems; from healing magic to battle powers. He does not limit himself with these sources, and teaches them how to gather energy from other places. |

STORY
The beginning Valtur had spent most of his early life within a factory in the Shifting Expanse. He was only born for a simple duty; be one of the many under the service of the Stormcatcher. As he grew older, the idea of only living as one of the many did not do well with him. And so, while he was still just a hatchling, he escaped from the factory. He travelled for days, weeks, or months; as time passed, he lost count. He had no place to go, and the idea of escaping now seemed terrible in his mind. That is, until he found himself within the depths of a glowing forest. To his surprise, a small Pearlcatcher, accompanied by a guardian twice her size, was standing there. She looked like she was waiting for him to arrive. Without a single word spoken, Valtur followed the pair into the depths of the forest, ready to see what this could bring him. He accomodated within the clan, formed by many hatchlings. He was intrigued not only by the complex society the young had formed, but the god that they worshipped resonated within his mind too. His first days in the clan were spent learning more about the dragon, who they called "The Arcanist". For a while, he dedicated his studies to Arcane magic, growing fascinated each passing day with the deity of the clan. Wishing to learn more about the stars and the cosmos, he dreamed of joining the Arcanist and his army. |
