Magical Protegee
Lyra's hatching was quite the spectacle in Olympus. As soon as her egg was laid, it was buzzing with magical energy, so much so that if anyone besides her parents tried to touch it, they would receive a painful magical burn. Because of this, she was kept in a sling under her father's mane to prevent any incidents. Once star hatched. It was clear star was no ordinary hatchling. Star could talk within days and by the time star was a week old, star could fly on star own. Their growth was startling but their parents worried little considering the potency of Nyx's magic when she was their age. However as the months past they noticed Lyra stopped growing, physically and mentally. Nyx, wracked her brain for possible explanations and when that failed her she went to the archives. There she found that it was Lyra's magic that was keeping them a child and there was no way to fix it without causing irreparable damage to their mind. When the news was broken to star, Lyra wasn't fazed. Star would be a kid forever! Star was excited! They could study all the cool spells and could play pranks all they wanted and didn't have to take the blame because they're just a kid. This quickly backfired. Because they were just a kid, the spells they had access to were heavily restricted and people always assumed they knew more than them (sometimes they did but most times they didn't). This lead to Lyra becoming bitter, she hated that other students at the school always looked down on her because of her age. But one day, she'll show them. She'll be the best mage in all of the isles one day!
