   a d v i s o r Paku is Jupiter's faithful advisor. His main job consists of mapping out battles, piecing together information from clan hunters and scouts, and keeping track of current threats and events to best decide what actions the clan should take. Paku is a very gruff, no-nonsense advisor, and very confident in his abilities. When one of his plans goes wrong, or Jupiter decides to disregard his advice, Paku can get very offended, and will often sulk around his nest and refuse to give advice for a few days or even a week or more. Intelligence is not his only ability; he is also a very adept magic user, specializing in darker magic. o r i g i n s Paku, like Jupiter, has unknown origins; it can only be assumed he was hatched somewhere in the Starfall Isles. One thing is known - Paku was abandoned as a hatchling. This has made him very bitter and faithless; he cares nothing for the Deities, and often scornfully insults those who devote time to their worship, including Jupiter. This has caused some friction between him and the clan Priest Grumble, who thinks that having a godless dragon serving as clan advisor is dangerous and destructive. Paku could care less, however, and prides himself in the tough nature and sense he has developed from years of attempting to survive against all odds. He retains nothing of his species nature of mimicry. p e r s o n a l i t y and a p p e a r a n c e Paku is no-nonsense, intelligent, and bitter. He is very scornful and mocking towards those that he considers 'dumb' or 'inferior'. Despite his negative nature, he greatly admires the night sky, perhaps because it shows that there are worlds beyond the world of the dragons (which has treated him so cruelly). His only true friend is Jupiter, who admires him for his intelligence, so similar to his own. He also has special respect for the clan gem keeper, Rah, recognizing her own struggle with the Gods. Paku's appearance is dark, with tattoos that often shine from the sheer amount of magic power he holds in his body. He wears a jester's outfit in mockery of the world around him, which he sees as twisted and mirthful. He has a permanent tattoo etched in his wings of the night sky, courtesy of the clan tattoo artist Isis. p a r t n e r  Paku's faithful companion is a Blackwing Croaker named Harlequin. The two are very close; Paku had met Harlequin (or Harley) as a hatchling trying to survive. While he had at first decided to kill and eat Harley, he admired the young Croaker's persistent attempts to fly, and recognized the will to survive in Harley that he himself possessed as a young hatchling. Paku brought Harley a little food instead, and the two quickly became inseparable. Even today, you will often see Harley traveling with Paku, dutifully serving him.
