   g e m k e e p e r Rah maintains the important role of overseer for the clan hoard of gems. She also serves as the banker, reviewing and approving requests for funds from different clan members. She takes her job very seriously, and will not approve frivolous requests unless she believes it will be to the benefit of the clan; taking into account the personality and level of responsibility of the requester. Windsinger be with any dragon that attempts to deceive her - she loathes tricks and will severely punish any being that she believes is dishonest about their intentions for the gems. o r i g i n s Rah was born in the Starfall Isles, although her natural curiosity and intelligence eventually drove her to seek out her own fortune and clan. Her natural dislike for water and pursuit of power attracted her to the Shifting Expanse, where she quickly established her own clan and proclaimed herself clan leader. Rah was very successful, her drive and intelligence leading to a huge growth of the clan. However, Rah became greedy, and desired to possess for herself the power of electricity the Stormcatcher held. She flew to the Tempest Spire with a group of loyal clan members in order to take the electricity, but was quickly discovered and punished with the destruction and death of her clan. Furious and ashamed, Rah quickly left the Shifting Expanse, traveling until Jupiter found her and encouraged Rah to join the clan as gem keeper. Rah saw a bit of her own curiosity and drive for power in Jupiter and agreed to join; however, her own desire for power had dissipated and she was content just as the gem keeper; after all, managing the money of the clan held its own level of power. p e r s o n a l i t y and a p p e a r a n c e Rah has a short, melancholy, and sometimes nasty personality. She does not tolerate lies and insecurity and will let any dragon who approaches her with hesitation know. However, Rah's keen intelligence makes her an excellent dragon to go to for advice - although you have to catch her her in the right mood. She also feels a motherly kinship with other clan members from the Starfall Isles, including the gruff adviser Paku and the Guardian Loretta. Dragons from the Shifting Expanse are another story, however; her resentment for the Stormcatcher clearly bleeds through in her interactions with them, so clan members from the Expanse often request other dragons go to retrieve gems for them in their place. Her appearace is a call back to her glory days, with an expensive and beautiful head piece (complete with fire emblem), belt, necklace, and golden loops. She also has golden script tattooed along her wings, although she has never revealed the exact meaning of the runes. p a r t n e r  Rah's chosen familiar is the stony Granite Thresher Sekhmet, whom she had befriended while leading her clan in the Shifting Expanse. One of the only members of her former clan to survive the wrath of the Stormcatcher, Rah feels a strong kinship with the Thresher. While the pair had been separated when Rah had traveled through the Ashfall Waste, she found him again while moving through the coast of the Windswept Plateau. Rah hates water, but her love for the Thresher helps her overcome her fear and she visits him regularly. |
