I had 5 full nests of some of my favorite pairs, and as soon as it was at #88888600 I clicked all of the nests as fast as I could! She was in the 3rd nest which ended up being the sweet spot for the 8x8 countdown event. I remember last year the rush for #80000000 was a lot further out, so it was a little calmer (but no less exhilarating !!) waiting for the rush. I'd like to thank all my years training for limited concert and event tickets lol!! Kururi's name can be written as 来理. '来' means 'come, arrive' as well as 'to encourage or motivate someone' — in my heart, I'd like it to represent the fact that she arrived from the encouragement / motivation of aiming for 8x8! '理' means 'principle, logic, reason' as well as 'to arrange or put in order/tidy' — aka her clean solid string ID! The く in Kururi (くるり) represents the 9 (kyu/ku) at the end of her ID. It's always so much fun participating in these special ID countdowns! I think it's something a lot of players can enjoy whether actively or passively, and everyone is so helpful with tips, suggestions, and tracking/estimating. Just being part of something and discussing it throughout the weeks, days, hours, even minutes together is one of my favorite parts of the forums. If you've found yourself here, whether because of her ID or not, I hope you had/have the chance to enjoy a countdown or two as well!
