As fervent leader of this oddball guild of mages and warriors, Diablo's disposition is almost always jolly despite his frightening looks. A lover of the quirky, wild, wacky and intelligent, he takes in a multitude of otherwise scrutinized and deemed dangerous dergs. As you can expect he's an oddball himself, skipping around the lair and regularly making his workshop go "BOOM!" and giggling about it. He enjoys lazing about atop his lava rock plateau type throne and the regular belly scratch despite his large size (he's quite sensitive). Another favorite past time would be playing practical jokes on his unsuspecting brood and taking long flights with Whirpool to The Sea of a Thousand Currents and the Viridian Labyrinth. Despite his ever joyful persona, he can also be quite stoic and calculating specially when it comes to any sort of conflict. He is extremely protective of his guildmates and will do everything in his power to keep them safe, even if it means razing a portion of a rival territory.

Diablo is as old as the lore of Flight Rising itself, back when the Flamecaller first came to power and declared her stronghold of The Ashfall Waste after her great return along with the other 11 Gods. Born of one of the first droplets of magma spilled onto the barren cracked wasteland that is now known as the Great Furnace, he wondered of his true purpose for being given life regularly. That was when he met Whirlpool, an outcast due to her being born with the Tidelord's mark of the vast sea. She had spent several months wandering between the two territories, a dragon with no Flight and no God. That was when it dawned on him: Who ever said that Flights could not coexist? Why must we be separated? Why must we shun those who are not of our dear Mother's blood? Because their Parents were at each other's throats? No. That was their fight. It was at this moment that he decided. The strongest clan would exist not of purely our own Flight, but a melting pot of others. And that strongest clan would be his. One where the strong may rise, the bonds between family would be great, but most of all where Flight meant nothing. This was the dawn of a new clan. LifeBlood.

The clan of Vita Sanguinis lives within a cavernous termite mound like structure, at least 4,000 meters tall and growing thanks to the numerous active volcanoes and underground shifting caused by nearby earthquakes.
