From beneath the Gladeveins, Jacque would shift the water plants out the way of the waters path, arranging them in slower flowing streams, held them suspended in place, ordering them in delightful "art pieces". But as they reached maturity, and it was time for them to finally surface- the chaotic and untamed growth of their home dawned on them-- and it horrified them.

Leaving home relatively young, Jacque took their journey cutting across the oceans, through depths of underwater passageways, and against the rushing current to- well, nowhere in particular. Anywhere but home was good enough for him, but the travel itself seemed easier before he actually started. Luckily, or unluckily at the time, he was stopped at a fractured outpost of the Sandgull Allegiance for a toll, of which Jacque had none to give. So, instead, the undertide went with the group to sign documents instead.

When they got to their headquarters, the Sandgull representatives came to the brilliant realization that he, in fact, did not have hands to sign with. But seeing the disorganized territory the clan occupied, Jacque decided to face his fear; unmanaged plants.

But as days turned to weeks, to months, and eventually years, as they quietly crept through the underbrush, he saw something that he shouldn't have.
