At every clan gathering, there’s always one old dragon who starts complaining that flighted dragons shouldn’t ride balloons because “if you have wings, you should use them.”

This mentality never stopped Tsusaba from running a successful balloon service. I’ve ridden on a balloon piloted by the dragon herself, and she was happy enough to answer my questions. Apparently, she started her balloon service to transport food and goods, but her transports were raided so often that she transitioned to carrying passengers instead. According to her, they’re much less valuable to raiders.

I , for one, am grateful. I may have wings, but if I have to choice to sleep on a balloon and travel at the same time, I’ll take that option.

However, I’ve heard that Tsusaba’s having trouble getting customers due to the rise of Returnism. Even younger dragons are picking up on the “if you have wings, you should use time” mentality.
