Fathom was born to the Starwood Seers Oath and Solace, who could catch glimpses of the present all over Sornieth. Like her parents, she was born with the ability to catch glimpses of things that were, are, or will be in the stars. After a series of attempts to hone her abilities, Fathom left for what was known as the Divided Spire, following the river to a seer of another path to help her train in the art of star-reading. Today, she can be found at the pier, advising ships on when it's safest to sail to their next port, what will sell well, and what route they should take. Her visions of the past may have fallen to the wayside, but the many presents and futures she sees have made Fathom's Fortunes a necessity for all ships that sail to Sailuma.
All she asks in return are trinkets from the many lands she sees in their futures. |

STORY
It started with the present, ships coming to and from a distant port. Sailors shouting to their crews, great beasts guiding ships into a harbor beneath a glittering building of crystal over a river. The smell of fish, hard tack, and a faint hint of salt from a sea she could not see. The more she looked to the stars, the more she could feel the call of the sea from someplace to the west. She trained with her parents, trying to hone her sight, only to watch it evolve to something more; Bustling crowds, shop fronts, scholars lecturing drakes of all walks, and the stars above, guiding them home. All this and more, with the port on the river at the center of it all. It didn't take her long to realize just what she needed.
When she finally came of age, she left her home among the Skyward Watchers, pulling together what she thought she would need for lessons she had caught glimpses of over the course of her life. Spare cloaks, crystal orbs to read from, candles of all sorts, and star charts rolled up and tucked into her many packs; All of these and more came with her from her home to the city of Sailuma. WiP is a WiP (Uriel teaches her, she sets up her own shop on the pier along the river to gather trinkets from places she sees in her clients' futures). Quisque viverra lacus sed maximus eleifend.
