Oath is named as such because they had made a deal to themself to never use their powers for feats of evil or personal gain. They can see anywhere in the world while channeling the magic of the stars in the sky. Some might benefit from this by peering into the locations of treasures or riches belonging to another, but Oath could never bring themself to be a dishonest thief. Instead, they use their powers to find folks in danger and lead members of the Skyward Watchers to save those in need.

STORY
Oath gained their powers later on in their life. They were a rather unimpressive Wildclaw residing in the Shrieking Wilds, until they heard of a few others gaining the powers of seers by stargazing at night. It took years for the stars to bless them in the same way, and they almost gave up on their dream, and instead, started stargazing at night for the simple joy of imagining the wider world.
It came to them in a dream one night. They pictured the Starwood Strand, a location spoken of by a few members of the Shrieking Wilds community. There, they saw the two other seers training where their powers felt unlimited. That seemed dangerous. Their feet leading them onward the next morning, they found themself traveling to the Starfall Isles to see if they really had become a seer as well. They found Elsewhere there, along with a few other members of a clan residing in the Starwood Strand. The other seer they had seen in their vision had left. Another named Misshapen had taken their place, and it appeared two seers of the past had turned up as well━ all who used the stars to power their abilities. Oath felt at home among them and chose to stay. Folks they could relate with were all they had ever wanted, and what a loving group of dragons and beastfolk they had received. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ |
