Rhea

The kindly Coatl was among the clan's very first dragons, joining it when she was a young dragonet fresh from the Gladeveins. As time wore on and the Demesne grew, Rhea was recruited to be a part of its ruling Council, and given the title of Minister.

As Minister, Rhea sometimes assists Pele and Wahieloa with administration. Whenever they are away and Khione or Rasa has taken up leadership, Rhea assumes Khione's duties as Seneschal. At other times, she gives the Progenitors advice and suggestions at Council meetings, voting on resolutions concerning how to run the clan or what changes should be made to it.

Some dragons in the clan protest the fact that all Councillors are hand-picked by Pele, and that they therefore have very little say in how things are run. Rhea, therefore, has made it her duty to regularly meet with as many dragons as possible to hear their concerns, inform them about what decisions are about to be discussed, and explain clan policies as clearly as possible. Svarog is a particularly good source of protestations. She passes their feedback along to the Council when they meet, tries to vote in accordance with clan opinion and encourages her colleagues to do the same. This has gone some way to addressing complaints, but grumblers remain.

Rhea delights in all things linguistics. She is fluent in the lingua fraca of all eleven Flights, and moderately fluent in the languages common to each of the thirteen dragon species. Reading up on regional dialects and other, rarer languages is a favorite hobby of hers. The Coatl is also attempting to learn the common language of the Beastclans, but is not yet as proficient in it as Gareth. Rhea is just as happy to pass along her knowledge of languages, as she is her knowledge of politics, to anyone who asks.

She is compassionate and loyal, determined to use her position to positively affect the dragons of her clan. While not as motherly as Minerva, she does have a fondness for hatchlings, and also for animals, her Bamboo Phytocat in particular.
