Galena is older than Citrine, however that didn't stop them from becoming mates. As a Nature Dragon, he is quite in tune with the environment. As such, he enjoys flowers and things of that nature. It was this shared interested that drew him to Galena.

However, Galena believes in that everything eventually dies and that it is morally wrong to enchant something to be eternal, or as eternal as magic allows. This hasn't stopped Citrine from presenting enchanted flowers and more to her as gifts, to which she readily accepted.

The two different mindsets that the two have actually led to a heated debate as to who was right. While it didn't solve that question, it did result in the two developing a mutual respect for each others views. So while Galena thinks what Citrine does is wrong, she's now of the opinion that it's best if she doesn't do that, but it's fine if others, particularly those of Nature to do so.

Citrine also enjoys studying all sorts of plants and planimals. He also has many plants from all over in his part of the lair. However, he also enjoys studying poisons from certain plants and planimals, as he thinks it would best help the Clan to not only know how to use potentially deadly poisons, but also how to use any cures. He also values teaching others what to expect if they encounter poisons and how different the effects can be.

He likes to work under Spira, but only if she gives him the space he needs to do his research.

Hilariously, Fluorite returned fire and used some of her magic to make it seem like Citrine is on fire. This sparked an interest for Citrine to research ways for plants to better resist wildfires and the like.
