Ghost

Ghost did not get far from his arcane home before he was distracted by a very sweet scent, and when he followed it he found a little bakeshop. As he crept in, a little wary, he saw a Guardian and Spiral talking and baking together.

The Guardian noticed him and smiled, "Welcome to Buttercream's Baking Emporium! Would you like to sample some of my finest baked goods? maybe some red velvet cake? double dark chocolate cookies?"

"Maybe some cinnamon rolls?" the spiral glides over to Ghost. "My name is Cinnamon, are you a traveler too?"

Ghost nodded and Cinnamon smiled "I'm a traveler too! Buttercream's been teaching me some of his best recipes! You want to try some?"

Ghost's eyes lit up as Buttercream brought out platters full of cakes, cookies, cupcakes, candies, and cinnamon rolls. The three all enjoyed the buffet of sweets, and Cinnamon asked to travel with ghost for a little while, and he agreed.

Cinnamon and Ghost took a wrong turn somewhere, and ended up in the Southern Icefield after leaving the Starfall Isles. A mistake that was made more bone-chilling once they found themselves in a terribly unexpected early blizzard.

Luckily, they managed to blow into the gates of a small clan tucked away in a large hill, and were immediately taken in by Lilla, a shy, but kind innkeeper.

From there, Cinnamon soon made his way into the kitchens, and Ghost was left to his own devices. He was able to get well acquainted with Tux, the musician that lived at the inn and worked as entertainment. Because Ghost was a traveler, Tux did not feel so self-conscious playing in front of him, and was able to ask for plenty of feedback.

When it was time to go, Tux came to him with a small hedgehog in his grasp.

"I know you said you thought the little guys were cute, and we keep finding more. The storm must have driven them inside to us," Tux said, offering the spiky bundle to Ghost. "Mind taking him with you?"

Ghost agreed, and put the hedgehog inside his cap. He was going to name the little guy 'Cap', but figured that was too obvious.

Maybe he'll think of a better name on his way to the next clan.

Cabbie, that was what he'd decided on for his hedgehog's name. It wasn't a perfect fit by any means, but the little guy had a knack for getting him to go in the right direction, almost like he was leading Ghost. Of course, Ghost wasn't complaining. It helped to have a little active help with traveling, and he was feeling a little less lonely than he realized he had been all this time.

But anyway, Cragenmire City. What a place. There was something of a resurgence going on, shops and projects popping up left and right. Ghost avoided All Aces casino - he didn't exactly have the money to gamble - though he of course stayed at the local inn, the Sleepy Sphinx Inn. There was a tavern, The Forge, but that wasn't exactly his scene. Ghost heard great things about it from the other travelers, though. No, Ghost was most interested in the library, Scripted Sanctuary.

A fellow traveler, one settling down for a short while, had set the place up with yet another traveler - this one retired. It was humble, yet refined. Quiet, yet bustling. And it had a killer tea shop inside. Ghost didn't even realize he liked tea until he stopped by Oyatsu House in the middle of a particularly long read, and found himself hooked on their home blend matcha. One of the owners, a relative newcomer according to him, gave Ghost a gift in the form of tea cups to take along with him on his journey.

Cragenmire City was really nice - especially with the different Districts and promising future. Ghost wanted to leave again sometime, but felt no particular rush. After all, who would be quick to leave after finding a place as homey as the underground city? Maybe after a few months he'd get bored of it, but for now he was staying put.
