Frigga

The first place Frigga landed was in the neighboring territory of the Shadowbinder. The area, however, was closer to the light territory than the plague. It had been a long flight, her wings were tired and she wanted nothing more than to rest somewhere safe. When she had seen mystical lanterns lighting a pathway, she thought nothing of it and decided to follow it. Luckily, it lead to a village that seemed to have been hidden by the wispwillows. Frigga checked into what appeared to be an inn for the night, getting the rest she so needed.When morning came (at least, she thought it was morning. Hard to tell in the Shadow territory) Frigga had asked the innkeep if the clan had a library. Upon being told where it was, Frigga thanked him and was off on her way, finding the building easily enough.

It was a large building, but it seemed the first floor was the only one accessible - she could see several workers working on the upper floors. A dark colored bogsneak watched her for a moment before she cleared her throat. "Welcome to the Athenaeum Tenebrarum. Feel free to look around, stick to the first floor and if you need anything, my name is Elegant and I can usually be found here. If you bump into a rather clumsy imperial, do not fret, that would be Xanth and he is our librarian." Frigga nodded and went exploring, looking for titles she had never read before. She had indeed bumped into a very large, dark Imperial who had introduced himself as Xanth (just as Elegant had said) and offered to let her take a book with her on her travels.

After spending nearly the whole day in the library, Frigga finally chose a book to take with her - a dark book bearing the shadow emblem. Once she put it away safely, she decided to continue onto her next destination to see what books she could find there.

Frigga found herself resting after her first stop. She wasn’t used to all the exercise that came with traveling quite yet. When she did set back out, she found herself going to Cragenmire City. It had been the talk of the town a while back, but in recent times it had stymied. The local tavern and inn helped with traffic, but they could only do so much. While there was talk of a tea shop in the works and the city’s first casino launched to great success, Frigga had an idea of her own that she was dying to bring to life.

A library. What Cragenmire City needed was a library. Frigga was certain she could deliver one; given appropriate resources and some help. Thanks to a likeminded skydancer named Author, Frigga was able to establish a floor plan and officially request resources to begin construction. It took a while - longer than initially projected due to the sudden addition of a cafe portion for the afformentioned tea shop - but within a few months, it was finished. Cragenmire City’s first ever library, the Scripted Sanctuary, was open and ready for business smack dab in the Lake District.

It was Frigga’s pride and joy. While she didn’t bring her personal library with her, she outsourced to obtain all the books she’d owned and add them to the library’s collection. Author brought over some of his as well, bolstering their stock. Their policy on donated books helped as well; anyone could donate any book, self-published or previously bought, and it would be added to the library’s register and officially catalogued. Journals and tomes of travelers found their way to the library, and with mostly-filled shelves, it was a huge success. Frigga planned on staying for a good while and enjoying the fruits of her labor.
