Biography
Kladeos fancies himself a hero, stepped straight from the pages of an ancient fairy tale. He can spin tales for hours of his valiant deeds and bravery in the face of overwhelming odds for hours if you let him. It often enchants the younger and more naive dragons, but others are far harder to convince.
Even if the stories were true, however, Kladeos is still controversial. He's incredibly nosy, offering his opinions whenever he deems it necessary, which is all the time. He absolutely cannot handle being criticized or ignored, and he especially cannot stand losing. That happens a lot, since Sasha has a fondness for making dragons put their money where their mouths are.
That said, there has to be a reason why he lies about who he is and where he came from. He couldn't have been that bad, surely. He's never tried to deliberately hurt other dragons feelings with his critiques, and he's also never considered cheating his way to victory in Sasha's training pit, and has aggressively confronted dragons who even jokingly suggest he try it for once. Annoying as he is, nobody feels strongly enough about his behavior to seriously argue for him to be kicked out. In the hopes that he might be encouraged to be honest with himself and everyone else, Rem's assigned him as one of Elske's back-up companions in the event of Valerie's spell fading. Maybe, with that branch of trust and responsibility, someday he'll be the dragon he wants to be, whoever that is.
