Snuggles was named aptly, having been brought to life by the magic of the Icewarden's curiosity. Unfortunately for him, he decided to bring to life a life-sized coatl plushie rather than a large, intimidating guard meant to watch the Fortress of Ends. It had no need to eat, no need to breathe, sleep, or anything. Other than the fact that it was as vulnerable as a hatchling with the knowledge of one, it would have been a perfect guard. After the Icewarden's realisation that his magic had worked, Snuggles was sent away to live by itself rather than have the denizens of the Fortress of Ends take care of the small, sentient little creature.

Alone Snuggles went, travelling aimlessly throughout Sornieth, its innocence and naivety knowing no bounds as it travelled through large cities and small towns to make new friends, hopefully to find a new home. Firstly it went through the crippling storms of the Frigid Floes, its stuffing getting soaked because of the frigid water and ripped due to the sharp ice shards littering the glaciers. Obviously the cold was no place for the vulnerable creature.

It found itself in the large, formidable expanse of the Astrolodome, seeing many dragons similar to it. Unfortunately, Snuggles had found its way into one of the more curious clans, one that desired knowledge for magic more than their morals. It was brought in and tested on to see how the Icewarden's magic worked, how the small former plushie worked and moved and simply existed.

It was simply through sheer luck that Snuggles escaped; a lone dragon decided that he was sick of the heartlessness and cruelty of the clan, and created a coup to overthrow the dictator-like leader.

With nowhere to go and no one to lead, the clan disbanded, and Snuggles was set free to escape. It fled east, to warmer climates and the desolate expanse of the Abiding Boneyard, unknowing of how dangerous it would be for a small thing like it.

However, good fortune seemed to shine on the pseudo-coatl, maybe due to a charm provided by the Icewarden, maybe due to sheer luck; it found itself a clan before it could venture too far into the

It travelled through the Astrolodome and across the Abiding Boneyard until it finally found a small clan with many hatchlings. Almost immediately, it found another clan who took it in and cared for its wounds.
Many hatchlings immediately took interest in the coatl, surrounding it and playing with it while it healed.

Snuggles' new desire to help hatchlings and the way it looked helped it realise that it would love to care for the vulnerable and young, so that none of them would ever have to struggle through what it went through due to its naivety. It decided to stay in the clan, taking care of young dragons until they grew up. Once it knew all hatchlings would be safe in Sornieth, it would then, and only then, find peace.
