Orchunter was born an orphan Mirror. She spent her earliest days fending for herself, hunting down squirrels and rats to eat, wandering the territories of different clans and leaving quickly or else suffer the clans' wrath for straying into their territory.
She was pitiful. When she glimpsed other dragons, they were in groups, talking together, laughing together, eating together. They had friends, family... She grew jealous and longed for her own clan.
One day, while hunting in the Mirrorlight Promenade in a land that belonged to no clan, she stumbled across a pair of Wildclaws- Micah and Mairead. They adopted her and loved her as if she were their own child.
The Wildclaws decided that a nomadic life was not suitable for the child, so they settled down in the land and called it their own. For the first few months, it was just the three of them, but then a handsome young Guardian called Sangar wandered into their territory. He claimed that the land had called to him during his Search. They allowed him to join him, and several other wandering dragons did so as well. Before long, the clan was a relatively populated.
Orchunter grew up and used a scroll to change into an elegant Skydancer. Alongside Sangar, her love and mate, she ruled the clan. She was a kind and just leader, and he was a fierce protector of the clan.
Orchunter dearly loved Sangar. He was her complement, her foundation and strength, her weakness... he was her heart. She was unreasonably optimistic, always believing that everything would be okay, and he only lit up her world and made her glow with optimism and joy.
But then he began to grow distant from her, more silent. She ignored it for a while, but unable to bear it any longer, she confronted him after a few months. Sangar admitted that he was worried about the future of the clan- what would they do when Sangar was gone, buried in the earth, and no longer there to protect the clan? Who would fend off the invaders that threatened the safety of their clan members and children?
They were tough questions, but in an instant, Orchuner knew the answer. The Lightweaver whispered the answer to Orchunter, and the Skydancer, with tears running down her face, gave Sangar the solution.
A week and one ritual later, Sangar was no longer flesh and blood. The Lightweaver had instructed Orchunter to perform a ceremony that would turn him into a statue, and now he was completely made of stone. It pained her, for she had loved him dearly, but who was she to go against the will of the Lightweaver?
Orchunter stepped down from her position as the leader of the clan, though her counsel is often requested when important decisions are made. She spends most of her days now by the river on the clan's territory, sunbathing and meditating and, when her memories plague her, crying.
