Biography
The Matriarch of the clan, Tiamat grew up in the Starfall Isles.
Gifted in the arcane it did not take long before she caught the interest of the Arcanist and joined many others under his tutelage, though the word could be used liberally considering the rather absent nature of the diety, so wrapped up in the stars as he is.
It is during this time the Tiamat realized that the curiosity many an arcane dragon prided on inheriting from the Arcanist was actually obsession.
She found herself disgusted with the near negligence he exhibited towards his people and called out to her clan; they needed to, no, they must leave and find a new home, a new god who would truly look upon them and see them. Of course, her words were found blasphemous. How could she say such things of the Arcanist when he's provided them with so much knowledge and power, when he had given them such magnificent things as the Tourmaline Archives, the Oculus of the Eleven, and the Observatory and has provided them safety in Hoverview Vail and the Astrolodome.
A majority of the clan turned their back on her, her mate included, and so Tiamat took those who believed her and journeyed to find a new home.
Turning their gaze eastward, Tiamat and her followers ventured into the Scarred Wasteland.
They found the land inhospitable, plants and animals alike infected with diseases they had no name for and the Plaguebringer nearly as negligent if not WORSE than the Arcanist as while she is more aware of the dragons of her realm it does not dissuade her from brewing horrors that could possibly wipe all life off of Sornieth.
Those that did not fall to the plagues of the Scarred Wasteland headed north to Dragonhome.
Again many a dragon found the land inhospitable though for entirely different reasons, this land seemingly baren save for a few hardy plants. Still, may a dragon, tired from their seemingly endless wandering and fearing that death might take them should they continue, settled easily enough into the Colonnades of Antiquity and the Terraclae, their natural arcane curiosity quickly taking over as they immersed themselves in the ancient history of the land.
Still, Tiamat trekked on, she and the few dragons who remained at her side heading south into the Tangled Wood.
It is here that she settled, for better or worse. She pleaded her case to the Shadowbinder at the Forum of the Obscured Crescent, offering what little treasure they had and their loyalty for a place to call home which the shadow matron "graciously" accepted and it is in the tangled woods that she has stayed, her clan growing and growing still. To this day Tiamat finds herself vexed by the carelessness of the gods though she has grown fond of the Shadowbinder over time.
