Lapis hails from a quaint farming village with her family growing yams and potatoes, despite the poor soil. Growing up in the fields gave Lapis a robust physique despite her petite appearance. She learned to fight due to the constant presence of bears in the area, and became a skilled hunter and a survivalist. To support her family, Lapis entered a tournament and won, catching the attention of the Caelin royal family. She then became a royal knight, becoming the retainer for lady Amalthea.

Lapis is a good-natured and kind person, though she has low self confidence. Due to her humble background, she feels insecure having her role when the other retainers of the Caelin royalty come from more well-off backgrounds. As a result, Lapis hides her background out of fear that she will be ostracized for it. Despite this, she adores her family and village and expresses open pride of their specialty in potatoes and yams when she's in comfortable company.

Raised in a modest, but poor family, Lapis is a natural survivalist, having to learn how to fend off bears and live off the land. Her hobbies include gathering objects which can be used, even weeds for rations, should the worst happen. She is a natural craftsman, making quality goods out of mere scraps. She is the best Rock Paper Scissors player in the clan.
