Amalthea is known for her curious and studious nature. She always has her nose in a book or else she is researching a new relic she's come across. Amalthea loves history and firmly believes that those who do not learn from their past are doomed to repeat it. Her birthclan was not one of note and she left very soon after coming of age in search of a better life. All the while she learned about the grand history of Sorineth.

Amalthea came to Caelin after hearing rumors of relics and treasures to be unearthed, but she found treasure of her own when she met Mercurius. The two were wed and Amalthea's life changed drastically. She still takes time for her studies, but now her priorities lie with the nation and its inhabitants. She often visits the nursery to regale the hatchlings in her stories of the past.

Whether it be the history of the clan or any recent discovery she's come across the hatchlings are always rapt with excitement when they listen to her tales. Amalthea and Anja have become close friends due to the nature of their stations being similar and also having similar interests. Amalthea may come across a bit colder than her friend Anja, however she always warms right up when she's around the hatchlings.

Between her and Anja they've compiled quite the hefty amount of historical texts and documents. They actively work together along with others such as Altair and Yuuya to keep a compilation of the clan's history and all other discoveries as well. These are then stored in house Caelin's library where Hilda works.
