Some of Hemming's siblings have problems with holding their physical shape. Hemming can sympathise - she does just fine at staying dragon-shaped, most days, but whatever magic makes her form fluctuate seems to have lost its way and gone into her head instead. When compounded with her Spiral attention span, she has a pretty hard time doing just one thing for any significant period of time.

Papa didn't raise any quitters, though. (Marrow tends to raise relentless perfectionists, actually. Rhizoma's trying to run damage control.) If all she has to devote to a new skill or hobby is ten minutes of her time, then by the gods she's going to be the best at it.
