For even the underworld yearns for her touch.

From the moment of her birth, Persephone was trapped between two worlds. She hatched as the runt of the litter and the sickest and weakest among her siblings. She barely survived as a hatchling, but miraculously she emerged as a healthy adult.

This experience took a toll on Persephone. Due to her sickness and near death as a hatchling, she tiptoes the delicate balance between life and death. She grew into a quiet and meek young dragon, flinching at even the softest of sounds. She developed a gift (or as she would put it, a curse) for seeing and communicating with the spirits of those long passed. Due to her gift, she often came off as creepy or unsettling to those around her, and the frequent appearances of spirits who sought her out frightened her.

As she grew further into adulthood, she began to accept her curse as something to be treasured. She could see things other dragons could not and learn from dragons who had existed long before she had hatched. She saw the incredible gifts and value in things that other dragons would purposefully avoid. In her current days, she wanders the darkest parts of the gardens, frequently bonding with spirits and tending to the weeds and unique darkness-loving plants that thrive there.

She found a forever companion when she found Void, a dragon also touched by darkness. He wasn't scared of her, nor her of him. Together they would show each other that they were not alone.
