Claws sound like raindrops when he hurries down the corridors.
This slippery fellow hails from the Tsunami Flats, where the sand is pale and warm in the sun, and the air is thick with the scent of ocean spray. He can be found down by the shoreline when he isn't holed up in his private chamber. His daughter, Statuette, seems to have inherited her father's reclusive behavior, and unless you can rise before the sun, the only time you'll find Raindancer out in the clan's communal spaces is when he's sneaking out to the kitchen to grab himself something to eat or is somewhere out in the woods on an early morning hunt.
His large, silvery claws leave deep tracks in the mud after a nighttime rainfall. When the light hits the tuft of fur on his tail, it glistens like a flowing river, like the surface of a clear, freshwater spring in a lush, misty mountain. His mane is shiny and proud-typical of a healthy, well-groomed Obelisk.
Despite his size and stature, Raindancer is a quiet fellow who prefers to mutter only a few words when one could just as well shout out several.
"There's something fresh on the wind today. Smells like hot sand."
His preferred napping place is inside a shallow tidepool that's kept perfectly warm by the sun's golden glow.
A flock of dragons soars over the crystal waters.
At the head of the swam, a bulky Obelisk takes the lead. The wind toils through his thick blue mane as he beats his wings and rises higher towards the sun. With each flap of his leathery blue wings, the jar on his hip rattles while its watery contents churn into a fine jelly. His eyes shimmer with an unusual oceanic sheen.
Just a few wingbeats behind the leader is another Obelisk. Smaller, slimmer, and with a head of emerald stars. She has eyes that shine with a similar glow to the sun that warms the water far beneath her. Her scales are gold, quite unlike the misty swirled white of her father. She is dripping with jewels as much as she does of colorful paint splatters that drip down from the brush tucked securely against her ear.
To her right is a vast black Imperial. Young and spotted, she twists through the air with the strength of her star-studded wings with remarkable grace. Her eyes are a reflection of her mother's. She smiles, her reflection grinning back when he looked downwards into the waves and giggles at the churning foam.
Three more dragons tag along. Varying shades, all three blue. Varying scales, each one with a touch from the stars. They have just awoken from a long dream and flap their way forward a tad bit clumsily through the bright, vast, windy sky. What will they find at this reunion? Family? Food? Perhaps a new clan to call their own?

Raindancer stands at the water's edge, his claws awash with foamy white surf. When he looks back towards his daughter, he sees Statuette and Nightlight leaning towards a huddle of relatives that have congregated near Laguna's huddle.
"I think I'll have a look around the reef," he mutters, mainly to himself. His voice is rather small among the chatter of the gathered crowd, the wash of the waves, and the sharp cries of the gulls that circle around the sun.
Meanwhile, Prose has decided he'd rather laze around in the sun for a while before delving down to check out the kelp. He is joined by Ysolt, who eyes the sky while clutching his pearl close to his heart. Their brother, Tobin, flittered off a while ago, but they've no reason to really worry. He's Tobin. He'll be fine.

How fitting that they all go star-gazing, when so many of them sport starry flecks on their hides and wings.
"That one looks like a whale," whispers Nightlight.
"It does!" Raindancer agrees. He nods and looks to his daughter. "Have you ever seen a whale like that, since you moved down to the shoreline?"
"Never one made of stars, no."
He snorts. "Well, that's on me, isn't it?"

"Creature, you say? Nightlight's voice coos from behind the tent's silky curtain. "Well...how's THIS for creature?
She steps out from behind the flap and ducks her head. The light catches on her artificial fins as it reflects on the glossy black of the ghastly helm that sits on her smiling face.
Meanwhile, it appears that Raindancer took the word "Elemental" to mean "looks like the ocean done went and puked all over him".
"Freestyle!" Chimes Statuette.
