Indavar was born in the Sunbeam Ruins, but was always intrigued more by the moon than the sun. Though he has light magic, Indavar has more of a connection to the moon and night, and trains to make his magic stronger. He can weave slivers of light, which turns silver like moonbeams in the night. He feels stronger and more alert in the dark and becomes more nocturnal each passing day. He has excellent night vision and often studies in Kaelith's archives late into the night.

Indavar is close friends with Aera and Raikea, and used to be close with Storm before she ran away. He, like Aera, wants to go to the Shifting Expanse and look for his lost friend, but knows he is no match for the rogue RainBringer's magic. He sees Bloodtwig as a motherly figure, but holds slight resentment towards her for losing her daughter. He is apprenticed to Vertigo and Alteia mentors him occasionally as well. Indavar is fascinated by alchemy and science, often working and studying with Azlei and sometimes receives tutoring from Hawthorne.

Indavar is calm and quiet, happy to sit and gaze at the moon and stars alone. If it weren't for his friends, he'd be even more shy than he is now. He holds a placid demeanor, and he is practical and wise. He heavily contrasts Aera and Raikea, who are headstrong and stubborn. While he may be more introverted and quiet, he still holds the same thirst for adventure as they do.
