Aera is the Shadow Mage of Kaelith. She is still young and apprenticed to Bloodtwig, her mentor and motherly figure.

She used to be close friends with Storm, despite their species' hate for each other, and spent time outside training chatting, gathering and travelling. She is still devastated at the loss of her friend, and wishes to look for her in the Shifting Expanse, but knows she is no match for rogue storm magic. Maybe one day, she'll find her.

Aera is also best friends with Indavar and Raikea, and the three are often seen together messing around or practicing their alike magic. Aera also admires Evara and her extensive knowledge of magic, and wants to reach her level of power one day. Vertigo somewhat like a father figure to Aera, and loves her like a daughter. Aera is very close to all these dragons, and loves them to no end.

Aera is stubborn and headstrong, often blinded by her will and temper. Bloodtwig sometimes struggles to keep her in check, but knows that as she grows up she will gain wisdom and patience (and some levelheadedness). She hopes. Aera is slightly mad at Bloodtwig for scaring her daughter away, and blames her for the loss of Storm. Aera prides herself in her vast knowledge of astronomy, and often talks to Nethera and Void about space and the stars. Aera wants to visit the Glass Observatory in the Starfall Isles so she can learn more about the universe.
