Khassat has the bearing of a noble hound: unconsciously regal and unquestioningly devoted. Steadfast in the extreme, she does what must be done without thought for herself; there's no righteousness or self-pride in her, and her calm, stoic demeanor is a sharp contrast to her exuberant older sister Paladin. That said, she's not stuffy or grim--instead, there's a kind of innocence to her, a purity based on open-hearted willingness. To some she might seem foolishly simple, and she is in fact naive and inclined to believe and trust too willingly, but she isn't stupid, and sometimes her perceptions go unexpectedly deep, looking to the heart of things (although never with judgment). Despite being tiny, she's a rising coli fighter, and one of Skilliaj's favorite pupils. (Skilliaj appreciates her dedication--and also, she's adorable! She's pocket-sized!) She drew Kiah's ire early on and had to endure him harshly critizing her and yelling at her that she didn't belong in the coli, to the point where Skilliaj finally put her foot down and told him, with unaccustomed sharpness, that he needed to knock it the flip off. Startled and abashed, Kiah apologized, and Khassat forgave him (of course); ultimately it turned out that he liked her (like-liked) and had just been too emotionally constipated to realize it. The two of them have since partnered up, with Sanghal as their platonic third, and Khassat is entirely happy, both loving and beloved, and secure in her service to the clan. 
»Khassat has impeccable style, dressing with the same unself-conscious grace that marks everything she does. The way she carries herself gives her the presence of a much larger dragon, and strangers are often surprised when they come up to her and realize how small she actually is. »Despite having come to accept Khassat's role as a fighter, actually watching her at work stresses Kiah out too much, so they generally don't go on expeditions together. | ********** |
