Biography
A strange insect that just happens to look draconic enough to catch the eye of the clans. Whispered like a rumor among the Rippleshard, the "chittering pearlcatcher" really just wants to be left alone to thrive.
Mottled, softer hide. Their skin is solid where it mattters; their back, their stomach, their buzzing wings. Their mandibles pick apart the glimmering mushrooms, their lengthy tail a lure to distract larger creatures. Hefty clawed limbs with powerful chitin over top, deceptively muscular but still capable of climbing and running. Wiry waxy wiskers, almost like fur but not quite, able to detect the changes in the air.
They are a well-oiled machine; the best of Vernax's creations, able to fight and run in equal measure. A lure that can both attract well-intentioned prey and terrible predator, distract and allure. They are powerful, they are muscular, they are a predator in perfect environment; and they are intelligent, given Vernax's own gift, for being such a strange and beautiful creature. Their siblings have not grown to the same heights they have, remaining as mindless insects, a swarm without charge.
They are perfect and powerful.
And then those dragons came along.
It was not, really, that they proved them wrong; they were still a powerful insectoid force, much more capable than they in this place.
No, it was just irritating to hear them mislabel them.
What was a Pearlcatcher? Apperently, a weak and scrawny thing, unable to hold it's own like it was. And yet, they called it one.
That had to be some sort of insult. Surely, they were mocking their powerful force, calling them lower than their own.
....Until, they heard, they genuinely believed this? Their build was, supposedly, similar. Well, surface-wise, at least. They were weak, and fragile; not compacted with insectoid muscle like they were.
...
Perhaps they'd keep their eyes on these oddities...

First wild Faceted eyes. Literally didn't even intend on keeping them initially. Impressive!

- Fascinated by, if not a little offended by their assumptions, the dragons of Rippleshard. Despite some initial resistance, the odd insect has been hanging around more often.
- Learns most of their information from Ambitae, after she moved in deeper to the Crystalcrag. She acts as their only real connection to society.
- Prides themself on their perfect natural prowess, but is becoming fascinated by civilized life, though they're not approaching it... yet.
- Speaks on occasion to Prismarine, but the two are both much more on the quieter side and often run out of things to say.
