Biography

The "Warden" of the Cavern, Prismarine has an unusual talent with the flora and fauna of the region, and has chosen to take the whole of the Crystalcrag as their charge. Ever vigilant, they spend most of their time meditating in the deeper chambers of the cavern, and otherwise work with the clan to ensure that they maintain the careful balance between their ever-expanding clan and the delicate art that is life in such a space.

Seastringer's Currents ride outward and onward. His touch spreads on accident, giving dragons new gifts of aquatic might.
Starcaller's Astral seeps through the underside of the world, reaching children far beyond them, and they cannot help but give them a small memento.
Major gods may reach easiest, but the minor stock could too; and with the Rippleshard Clan exporting brilliant crystal and unusual specimen that they caught spares of, was it any wonder that after some time, even the smaller gods of the Crystalcrag found ways to expand their domain?
Vernax has always been fascinated by the dragons, and now, she had means to grow ever onwards; seeping subterranean vines and scrambling mutant insectoids, serving as eyes and ears to the minor goddess below.
She had not intended to claim, but when she sees one in need, she cannot help but reach out and leave them something...

Prismarine never had the kindest of childhoods. In a clan of light-wrought scholars, they craved nothing more than physical work. In a clan full of beaming magic, they could barely produce a winking light. It was no secret the dragon had been born with weak magic; their parents had even worried that the hatchling would suffer physically due to their diminished magical abilities.
Despite it all, Prismarine kept moving along, and grew and grew.
Eventually, they felt the need to leave; not just from the clan's constant doting and worry, not just from their distinct different needs.
They needed to find their Charge, and they knew it was not here.
It was a chance encounter, as they began to make their trek out of their home of the Sunbeam Ruins, that caught their eye;
A strange, mammalian thing, with glossy eyes and a ratlike tail and too-long limbs, clearly a youngling of it's kind, scrambling about. What was presumed to be dead, and meant to be discretely shipped off for study, and was very much not.
They met eyes with it, and they knew something much more powerful was within.
They took the young thing with them, and felt a new power surge; a calling, an offer.
A gift, if only they take it.
For the magic-starved Guardian, they could feel something was simply correct here.
They followed the call, returning the scrambling creature to where it belonged, and more importantly, meeting them.
That purveyor of the unknown, that powerful source of peculiarity, the Mother Goddess of Subterranea.
They met their gaze, and bowed.
They were here to take their offer, and they were here to protect their Charge.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • While many of the other gods shrug, caring less about the expansion as they have far much more, Prismarine ensures that Rippleshard's expansions maintain harmony with the area around them. They know that the divinities here could probably undo the over-exertion of the land with a wave, but they figure it'll be far easier to mitigate that...
  • They are very aware of the Crystalcrag's Gods, but respect the wishes to keep their true identities a secret. After all, it's easier to work if the dragons don't know the full extent of this new world they're in.
  • Speaks on occassion with Shimmermist, but the two usually prefer each other's silence. They started talking more once Ambitae showed up, and the more active chatter began to draw Shimmermist to be curious of draconic society.
