Beech

“I just wanted to see you happy again, that’s all. You look so pretty with a smile on your face!”

Beech is the sort of dragon that is often overlooked, to the misfortune of those around her. Gentle and unassuming, she is content to go about her business and allow others to do the same. She is a quiet soul, preferring to speak more with her demure smiles than with her cotton-soft voice. Her disposition has been likened to that of the shy but eternally caring unicorn.

She is an absolute sweetheart to the dragons around her, though her constant timidity can make it rather difficult for outsiders to tell this about her. She is observant to a fault, noticing if any dragon is acting even slightly out of the ordinary. Beech will go out of her way to cheer them up, even if it’s something as simple as giving them a pretty seashell she found or writing them a little poem.

Perhaps one of her greatest talents is working with her paws. She can sculpt the daintiest of pieces, smaller than even her claw. She makes dishes and delicate cups that resemble imperials and pardas and kirins and all sorts of things. She can string together seashells into beautiful necklaces. These creations are often gifted to her clanmates. The dragons of her clan have become accustomed to her little surprises.

Beech’s creations are always distinctive because of the incorporation of nacre. In order to make her pieces even more special, she incorporates a little bit of her pearl-forming secretions that hold the best memories of the intended receiver. Thus, her pearl is a little smaller than usual. However, she doesn’t mind it at all. She thinks it is well worth seeing the smiles on the faces of the dragons she cares for so deeply.
