Biography
![](/rendern/portraits/852023/85202260p.png)
The last egg to hatch of the founder's children, Rippletide is an odd one out in terms of goals, and often scouts and surveils the immediate areas of the Crystalcrag. While their siblings seek out magic and knowledge through their explorations and learning, Rippletide tries to learn the ecological function of the depths. As alien as the flora and fauna is, meat's still meat and plant's still plant, and if they DID manage to cultivate the stuff, they could potentially grow rich from selling it off to the wider region of Sornieth as a rarity.
Rippletide always had much more rooted dreams than their siblings. While Stelaine and Abyssal indulged in fantastical adventure stories, and Deepscale and Aquarian sought out spells and tomes, Rippletide followed underfoot of her parents and the other dragons, watching and asking about their trips out to bring in food, as well as learning more about the process of hunting, fishing, foraging...
However, when they were finally old enough to join them, they noticed a sudden and glaring issue; despite living in such a verdant cave, the clan still would trek miles to reach "trustworthy" food sources! They asked Carboden near immediately why this was, and he confessed that nobody truly know if the Crystalcrag's life was even edible to dragons, and didn't feel like testing bodies to find out.
...So, instead, Rippletide decided THEY'D be the body that found out.
Their parents fussed over them often about it; and sure, they've had their fair share of awful poisonings and stomach churning nights after eating something they really shouldn't have. But none the less, they provided valuable information; the habits and patterns of the local fauna, what was and wasn't edible, even a good, detailed lay of the immediate land, instead of the far-off maps Abyssal would draw! It was workable knowledge, and it allowed the clan to take less and less trips out of the way in order to get immediate food.
Rippletide's dream is to one day have gardens and cattle of the alien wildlife, but for now, hunting like normal will do.

- Rippletide's forays into the wider area were actually mostly unsuccessful until a peculiar Abberation started to show up and guide them. They do confess that locals have helped them, but truthfully, the Abberation feels a bit too knowledgeable about everything, all things considered...
- They don't get nearly as sick anymore, though that's mostly due to receiving actual guidance instead of winging it.
- Gaenor sometimes offers to accompany her in her trips outwards to collect information. Although at first she was hesitant, especially with his much larger stature, the Aberration is quite clever and has only proven to be a boon!
- Steadfast was a familiar originally entrusted to Carboden, of which he decided to hand down to Rippletide. They've come to appreciate them greatly, and they've turned into a stalwart hunting companion.
