Biography
▬▬ TREZERIUS, Prince ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ♢♢♢ The Aurum | Clan Lore The younger of the Aurum’s princes, Trezerius lacks the same royal air that his brother, Rozario, has. Treze’s hair and outfit are messily done, and his gaze often wanders… Not to mention his general standoffishness and a tendency to tune out conversations. To an onlooker, it might seem like he couldn’t care less about his status - this assumption is patently wrong. His apparent disinterest hides his passionate ideals. He’s always felt the desire to surpass his mother and brother as a ruler, but last time he tried to act on this desire, he got burned… Things are different now. He has help. He’s planning something sinister, something that could shake the Aurum to its core, and he’s fully confident that he can pull it off. |

Treze was often skipped over as a child in favor of his brother. “Elder brother” as if that meant anything — was hatching mere minutes earlier really so important? But oh, it mattered to everyone else, because only the first born could be the heir. The term “son” was one used loosely around the Aurum. Mistress Erina called herself the mother of the two, but she really only wanted an heir. Whatever care she felt certainly didn’t extend far enough to reach the crown-less prince Trezerius. The queen's disregard of blood ties wasn’t out of love - anyone could be her successor so long as she raised them to be. Somehow Rozario was always praised for being perfect, while Treze was reminded that he was supposed to be second in everything. He wasn’t that old when it sunk in, when his hours of practice resulted in hate instead of the praise his brother received. He stopped trying to please others after that, usually only achieving the bare minimum. Treze’s resentment simmered under the surface until it would finally show itself again. Mistress Erina taught both of her sons to share her sense of morality. They were told that deception and underhanded methods are often necessary to rule, and the brothers took this to heart. |
Unfortunately, this plot did not go unnoticed - Erina found out about it. This treachery sent her into a fury, and she slung a beam of white hot light at Treze. This was not a punishment for a son, but one for a traitor - she attacked as if he weren’t her son at all. He was lucky the terrible burn across his eyes wasn’t aiming to blind him, or the fact that he wasn’t exiled. Rozario learned about the attempted poisoning as well, but agreed with Treze that Erina's reaction made her a hypocrite.
He was invited to events henceforth, albeit begrudgingly. As if to mock him, Erina made him cover the scar that she gave him. It was after one of these events that Treze met his future confidant - Bassidera, the only Adric sect member allowed near the Aurum’s grounds. The skydancer was strange and disturbingly cheerful in a way that reminded Treze of his brother, but the way that he spoke made Treze quite excited. He talked about overthrowing the Aurum with a new helper from the inside - that’s where Trezerius, the scorned prince, would come in. |
♢ Hemlock When consorting with the Adric Sect, Treze hides his real identity. Instead, he goes by the name Hemlock and hides his face. While he dislikes the sect members as a whole and is simply using them to further his own plot, there are a few of them that he doesn't mind the company of. Bassidera is the only member of the sect who is aware of Treze's true identity. Rozario is also aware - both of the identity and the plot to start a coup... he's alright with it as long as he's guaranteed safety. |
