Biography

──────────────────
Seizure
she/her cheerful cheeky explorer
──────────────────

Seizure was born into a grand clan in the Sunbeam Ruins, and spent her hatchlinghood alternately reading adventure stories and then trying to escape the watchful oversight of her elders to go seeking adventures of her own.

On one such unauthorised excursion outside the lair, she came across a family of pocketmice, and became so engrossed in following them that she didn't notice the skies steadily darkening overhead until the first drops of rain started to fall. Finally looking around her in an attempt to get her bearings, she realised she had wandered so far from her lair that she wasn't sure where she was or how to get back.

Quelling the rising panic inside her, she remembered crossing a river on her way to wherever she was now, and so she started walking towards what looked like it might be a waterway in the distance. The rain was getting heavy now, soaking through her feathers and making it difficult to see.

She finally reached the river she'd seen, but it didn't look like the one she'd crossed previously, being much wider and deeper and lacking any obvious crossing points. Having no better ideas, she walked along the river, hoping to find a landmark she recognised, but as she trudged along the muddy riverbank in her increasingly sodden coat, she slipped on a wet tree root and tumbled into the river.

Her alarmed cries and splashing about attracted the attention of a passing dragon, who dove swiftly towards her and hauled her out of the river. With her lungs and feathers full of muddy water, Seizure could only splutter helplessly as the other dragon carried her back onto land and set her down under cover of a large cactus. There, she coughed the water out of her lungs and thanked her rescuer, who turned out to be an Imperial dragon named Taro.

With no sign of the weather abating, Taro suggested Seizure follow him back to his lair where she could dry off and wait out the storm. On the way there, they were joined by a Tundra dragon named Potato, who helped Taro carry Seizure as she was still too weighed down with river water to fly.

Back at Taro and Potato's lair, Seizure was ushered into a hot bath, then bundled into a nest of fluffy towels and blankets, and presented with a huge hunk of fresh bread and bowl of stew by the clan leader Parsnip. One of the other clan members, an older Pearlcatcher named Shock, attempted to contact Seizure's clan, but the ongoing storm was disrupting communiations, so Shock made up a little bed for Seizure by the hearth, and Seizure settled in for the night.

A few days later, the storm finally subsided and Shock was able to make contact with Seizure's worried family. By then however, Seizure had discovered the clan library and started reading her way through one of Parsnip's sister Pneumonia's mystery novels, and Seizure was reluctant to leave before she'd finished the book. Everyone agreed she could stay for as long as she liked, and she soon realised she rather enjoyed living with this small clan out on the Shifting Expanse.

Seizure continues to go on adventures, but she is now accompanied on excursions by one of the other dragons in her new clan, and when she's not reading mystery or fantasy novels, she's adding to the clan library's collection of first aid and wilderness rescue manuals, which she has taken to studying in case of any future near-drownings.
