Konjac was born on the Windswept Plateau and loved exploring the grasslands there as a hatchling, helping his clan with their foraging, and learning which plants were edible and which weren't. As he grew up, he started venturing further afield, bringing home more exotic ingredients from distant lands.

While harvesting cactus fruit out on the Shifting Expanse one day, Konjac met a Guardian dragon named Parsnip doing the same thing. They chatted as they worked, and soon discovered they shared interests in plants, foraging, and cooking. Parsnip invited Konjac back to his lair for lunch, and Konjac immediately became fascinated by the lair's garden, which Parsnip was more than happy to show off.

Not long after that, Konjac hugged his parents goodbye and set out for a new life helping Parsnip in his garden, and making sure all the members of his new clan have nutritious home-cooked meals every day.
