Bio

If you want lessons on clan history, you go to Krazol. If you want to know what the Clan’s purpose is, you ask Ayano. But if you want something done right, you ask Glaucus. Chances are that you’ll find him diligently patrolling the Lair, stopping to play games with the hatchlings at the nest before moving on. He’ll saunter down the front yards to see if Luminax is getting a little too close for comfort. Then he’ll make a stop by the gardens to chomp on a few stray branches that the gardeners haven’t gotten to yet.

A reliable, patient, and mirth-filled Snapper, Glaucus may not be the most energetic dragon around, but he tries his best to make everyone feel welcome. He takes pride in being part of one of the biggest renowned lineages on record, and instantly feels a strong familial bond with another of Sunset’s line, even if he’s meeting them for the first time. He shares an equally strong bond, however, with the members of his Clan, Lumenstar. Often, Glaucus will claim that he’s “from two lineages, one I was lucky enough to be born into, and one that was smart enough to pick me, heh heh heh.” (The laugh is vital to the quote, you have to hear it in person - Record-Keeper Astra)

On Ayano's request, an abridged record of Glaucus' arrival is to be kept for posterity, because, and I quote, "The future generations will never know a dragon quite so lucky."

Trekking along, a lone Snapper took in the sights and smells of the Sunbeam Ruins. Those, of course, being the sight of paradoxically gleaming rubble, warm green-yellow grass, and the smell of a never-ending spring. Still moving along, looking at his map every so often, he thought to himself, “I sure hope these guys have food ready.” His new clan had sent word that they would be ready to receive him, of course, but with Glaucus, food never remained off the mind for long.

As the journey continued, Glaucus would notice something, perhaps later than most dragons would. His map led him through the Emperor’s Wake. Hmm, perhaps something was wrong with the map, and he should turn around and get a new one? No, no, if the Clan says they live on the opposite end of the Emperor’s Wake, then by the Lightweaver, Glaucus would make it there! With newfound resolve, he continued.

Glaucus’ stamina surprised even him. He hadn’t even eaten all that much before he left, but he had been walking for just under three days and had no plans of stopping! Head held high, he trekked along further. Surely the Lair couldn’t be that far now, right? Despite his enthusiasm, however, Glaucus saw something entirely new. A large brown-ish blur on the horizon to his left. How odd, perhaps it is…

“It’s Luminax!” a voice above him called out. Glaucus looked up to see two gleaming white dragons descending from above. The larger one, a Guardian, wearing what seemed to be ceremonial bones of some sort, landed in front of him, smiling warmly. “Greetings! What brings you to our ‘neck of the woods’, as it were?” As Glaucus opened his mouth to respond, he was interrupted.

The smaller dragon, a Mirror wearing pieces of gold armor, landed next to them. “Talk later, move now!” Ah, the Mirror was the one he initially heard. He raised his wings and lifted off again, circling them. In response, the Guardian turned and lowered his tail for Glaucus to climb on to. As he did so, the Guardian made a grunt of effort and shifted slightly. “Apologies… I’m not accustomed… to carrying others.”

When they finally did make it into the air, the Mirror was laughing about the whole ordeal. “Never! Never in all my years have I seen someone take a casual stroll through the Emperor’s Wake, and I’ve lived here most of my life!” The Mirror landed onto the Guardian’s back in front of Glaucus, eliciting another grunt of effort. “What’s so important that you came all the way out here?”

Glaucus outstretched his forelimbs, upon which were taped a map and a letter that he could reference. The Mirror took them both and looked them over, his toothy smile growing wider. “Great news, everyone!” He craned his neck behind him, towards the Guardian’s. “Hey, Kraz! Guess what? This guy’s Glaucus, he’s our special guest!” The Guardian, ‘Kraz’, let out a hearty laugh. “I have a feeling,” he boomed, “you’ll fit right in!”
