Friend
Rova is the oldest friend Ayano has. It was Rova who kept Ayano alive during his recovery period, and Rova who helped build the first nests, and Rova who comforted the sick and lost who would find themselves in the fledgling Clan. Though Rova now Hibernates, her presence is still felt in every piece of marble used to build the Lair.

Astra joined the Clan shortly after it was formed, and she and Ayano quickly fell for each other. Though Astra is colder and more serious than Ayano, they complement each other very well, and are rarely seen without the other, everywhere from leisurely Festivals to important Clan meetings.

Ayano was once part of a roaming pack of Mirror Dragons, all hatched from the same clutch of eggs, without parents. During a hunt, they flew too close to Shadow territory and were attacked. Injured and separated from his pack, he made his way into a nearby cave, and met with the Guardian Rova. Rova nursed the Mirror back to health, at which point Ayano chose to stay, forming a Clan in service of the Lightweaver.

Ayano has studied an ancient draconic dialect once used by certain inhabitants of the Sunbeam Ruins. He awoke knowing his name, but not what it meant. In studying, he learned more of this ancient tongue, including his name, Ayano, meaning “sun”. He also discovered his love of learning, as natural for a Light Flight Dragon.

Ayano carries a lot of responsibility on his shoulders as the Clan leader, but if it affects him, he does not show it. He takes great pride and joy in leading his Clan, treating them like family. He faces problems and disputes with a smile, prefering to use wisdom and patience to diffuse situations.

While of the Light Flight, Ayano does not believe any Flight to be better or worse than another, and welcomes Dragons of all kinds into his Clan. Even Shadow Dragons are not barred from joining the family, so long as they dedicate themselves to the Lightweaver. Ayano believes that cooperation and peace are paramount, both between neighboring Dragons and the furthest Flights.

Taking after his elemental deity, Ayano prides himself on the acquisition and study of knowledge, his current focus, along with the Clan’s, being Elemental Dissonance Syndrome.

Though, all these traits do cause issues on occasion. For instance, Ayano has difficulty picking sides in conflicts, due to his desire to reach an understanding of all perspectives. Additionally, he is often saddened by the departure of a Dragon from his clan, due to his concern for his found, and ever-growing family.
