Inspired by her redoubtable mother, the warrior Angelisa, Calliope joined the Golden Order and swiftly rose to become a full knight. She specialized in working as a solitary striker, driving hard and fast into the darkest places where evil might be found, stabbing directly toward its heart. Stealthy, quick, and strong, she excelled at the work, but it was grueling, and she saw—and did—many things that she'd prefer to forget. Piling upon that was the lack of support from senior knights of her chapter, who were more concerned with their own power and glory than with her successes or her personal struggles. Depressed and doubting, Calliope requested a sabbatical and returned home to the Starfall Isles—not to her mother's lair, but to Windsong Cove, a quiet seaside village near the monumental Singing Spire. There she rested and reflected (and took a little time to nest), but although she's starting to feel more like herself, she hasn't yet decided whether or not she'll return to the Order.
