These animals are most commonly found in South America and Central America. Their diet consists of invertebrates and fruit. This animal can reach to about the size of a large house cat and can be found up in trees or on the ground. They have been nicknamed as a "hognose raccoon" and are compared to raccoons often. Their habitat can range from humid forests to cold mountain slopes.

They travel in groups from 4-25 to forage with their offspring. They communicate with each other by chirping or snorting. During breeding season females and young coati's travel in bands of 5-40. The males are solitary and only join during the short mating season. The gestation period is around 11 weeks and they can give birth from 3-7 kits at a time.

Berylla runs the Summerland Coffeehouse, financed by Old Man Strawberry. Also known as the working dragon's clinic, the Summerland Coffeehouse makes coffee to raise spirits, to temporarily heal ailments such as nausea or anxiety, and to boost health in general. Many aspiring potion-makers, healers, and entry-level baristas come to learn from Berylla and her team.


Mocha, a wealthy patron of the coffeehouse who offers her expertise, whether wanted or not. She reads the customers and predicts new trends for the business and organizes tastings to try out new flavor combinations and new potions.


Muffin, Mocha's kid, learned how to bake from her mother and uses her talents to fill the coffeehouse with sweet pastries from croissants to cakes to her favorite--muffins.


Chai came to Summerland to learn how to be a proper barista and maybe learn some healing spells. She had big ideas, but Berylla felt threatened by those ideas and they often butted heads on business matters. At the end of her apprenticeship, Chai was ready to start her own cafe.


Snowflake got his start at the Summerland Coffeehouse specializing in cold brew. Once he'd learned all he wanted to, he left with Chai to help her start her own cafe.


Tea is more interested in tea than coffee, but he doesn't particularly care as long as it's hot. It's the only form of hydration he knows how to allow himself. He's not good at taking care of himself. He used to work at Summerland, but the demanding atmosphere got to be too much for him. He was only working there for a discount on his beard drugs. When he was satisfied with his appearance, he quit, but he still comes back for a serotonin fix every now and then. Oh and to be flirted with by the baristas. It makes him feel valid even though it's fake. He's not okay but he fakes it so well.


Espresso is good at selling upgrades, convincing customers to try it with oatmilk or to add a flavor shot or health boost. She talks fast and creates a sense of urgency, causing her customers to choose something they might not really want because they made a decision too quick. Berylla likes her.


Hot Chocolate worked in the coffeehouse for a long time. She was kind and sweet and knew all about alternative sweeteners and which ones worked best with each drink. The manager misses her.


Mallow is a little lost on the concept of coffee because she believes everything should have marshmallows in it. She's great with the hot chocolates, but most don't appreciate her artistic input. That is, until she realized she was meant to bake instead of brew.


Granddaughter DigitalCookies wanted to make the coffeehouse into a cyber cafe. Berylla was against that, but the rest of us are just wondering how that would have worked out, considering the current tech level and the standard of living for their target customers. By the way, does anyone have the wifi password? I want to check up on my virtual dragons. I think they're starving. I keep getting scary emails.
