Personality:

Gentle, timid, and shy, Aurel has never met another Gaoler dragon, so she doesn’t know their customs or culture. As she grows up she becomes absolutely enormous, but is still incredibly gentle. Some of the other dragons like to sleep curled up with/on her because she’s so warm and fluffy.

Backstory:

Aurel was orphaned as a hatchling. Stellian found her when she was just a few months old, huddled and dirty in the wilderness, and brought her back to the clan, where Cobalt and company welcomed her in.

R E L A T I O N S H I P S

Stellian
Aurel is Stellian’s adoptive daughter. He won’t use that word to describe her, and Aurel doesn’t call him her father, but everyone knows it’s more or less true. It was only coincidence that Stellian was the one who found her and brought her back to the Outcasts, but Aurel has never forgotten it. While Stellian is not exactly the affectionate type, it’s clear that he has a soft spot for her, as she’s one of the only dragons spared his usual wry, sarcastic bluntness.

Venti and Caelum
She was the first hatchling to join the clan after them, so they immediately latched onto her. As shy as she is, Aurel was a bit intimidated and overwhelmed by their energy at first, but (with some reminders from the older dragons to not overwhelm her), the twins slowly helped pull her out of her shell a little bit. They’re close friends now, though Aurel often is the responsible one who gets them out of trouble or sighs and reluctantly accompanies them.

Anemone
When Anemone joined the clan as barely more than a baby, Aurel was an older hatchling, and the two immediately bonded. Despite their differing personalities, Aurel saw herself in Anemone, a young orphaned child who had never really known another dragon of her kind.
