Jacaranda was born of moonlight
She and her twin sister, Hydrangea, were born in a silvery light that filled the viridian labyrinth one misty night with a full moon. The two young skydancers learned and grew together in the forest, and they both took the names of the flowers that grew there. They had been born of the moon's desire to be worshiped- sornieth has 11 deities, and none of them honor the spirit of the moon. The two were both drawn o the moon, having been born from its light, and after discovering that there was a telescope strong enough to allow them to see as far as they needed, they agreed to travel their as soon as they could. The two collected the herbs that thy used to make potions and magic, and the flew above the trees of the labyrinth and across the crystals of dragon home until they arrived at he edge of the starfall isles. The two, worried of angering the god by venturing further, created a small camp atop a mist covered spire that burst forth from the water.

They lived alone for a short while, but they began to build a sizeable home for themselves. The two wanted to honor the moon, and built an impressive shrine to it, outfitted with its own telescope. Astronomers flocked to the clan, interested in the telescope, and were soon converted to the clan's dedicated worship of the Arcanist, and the moon. Jacaranda began to hone her magical powers away from just the herbs her sister worked with, beginning to work with the pure arcane energy that filled the air like dust. She works best under moon light and can bend it to do her bidding, building moon light constructs that last only one night to work for her, building their temple of pure moonstone, harvested from Dragon Home and the Crystal pools.

Jacaranda is the leader of the clan, with her sister and wife ruling at her side. She is in charge of trade and relationships with other clans, as well as magical training for all hatchlings in the clan to help them unlock any magical potential they may have. Jacaranda is always busy, she spends her days working hard with the other members of the clan and their allied clans, trying her best to keep everyone happy and healthy. She spends her nights praying to the moon spirit and spending time with her wife and daughter. It is not uncommon find her taking short naps through out the day in the oddest of places. Despite her hard working attitude, she is generally fairly cheery, though she gets very serious very quickly when the well being of her clan is involved. She is a ruthless trader, and while she is always fair to the other clan, she always has her clan's best interests in her mind first and foremost. She also seeks out other mages and moon worshipers to join the clan, trying to help it to grow and to help herself and the other mages in the clan master their trades. Jacaranda has worked with nearly every different type of magic that she has encountered in the starfall isles. Her specialty, however, is still moon magic, and she is the most powerful moon mage in the land. She holds seminars where she teaches other how to harvest the moon's power, and how to get the moon spirit to bless you with her light.

Jacaranda's relationship with the moon spirit is one of a daughter and a mother. She does her best to help he moon spirit, and considers her the closet thing to a mother she has. Jacaranda herself is also a loving mother, having a daughter born of magical energy gifted to her by the Arcanist. Jacaranda does not live in the Observatory, but frequently goes there to double check the star maps her clan sells on the larger telescope, and works with the Arcanist. He gifted her a spellscroll he enchanted himself, embeded with the moon's energy, to allow her to preform her moon magic even when their is no moon, or during the day. She has done plenty of work among the exalted dragons of the Arcanist's observatory, helping with star mapping and enchanting, to thank him for this, and has a good relationship with the deity, who even gifted her clan with an Arcane sprite, for magical protection. She honors him just as she does the moon spirit, and has built a magical shrine to her clan's patron diety, as well.

She and the rest of the clan have taken up shapeshifting they learned from Royalis, and Jacaranda was the first to turn into one of the creatures who created the arcanist, those who have become the beastclans. With tall bodies and impressive hands, the clan has found these human forms ideal for writing scripts and creating delicate items, making these forms popular.

Other familiars

Tish,the light sprite, is Jacaranda's beloved companion on everything she does. A gift from her mother, Tish holds a tiny orb of moonstone at all times to help enhance Jacaranda's powers, and helps to keep detailed notes on clan dealings. Tish is a very playful sprite, and is fantastic with children- Royalis is very fond of her, as are the clan's other hatchlings. Tish and Jacaranda are nearly inseparable, and she's beloved by the whole clan.

Family & Friends

Neri Is Jacaranda's guard, her advisor, and her closest companion. The two are very deeply in love, and are mated for life. Neri began working for Jacaranda as a mercenary, but her skill as a fighter and beauty soon enticed her, and she took her on as a full time guard. Neri was also interested in the skydancer's powerful magic, and she opted to stay to try and see how her magic could improve her life. Jacaranda quickly found herself becoming fond of her, and then she found that fondness becoming something even more. Neri is everything Jacaranda is not: what she lacks up in magic she makes up in her strength, and what she lacks in Jacaranda's natural charisma she replaces with her quick wit and great judge of character. Neri is very funny, and she never fails to bring a smile to Jacaranda's face. The two are even raising a child together, and are very well known as the clan's residence power couple.

Royalis

Royalis is Jacaranda's daughter, who she loves more than anything in the entire starfall isles. Royalis was made of Jacaranda and Neri's magic, as well as a blessing form the Arcanist to breath an Arcane life into her. Becuause she is made entirely of magic, her magical ability is just as strong, if not stronger than her mother's, and Jacaranda is currently teaching her every type of magic that she can. Jacaranda also spoils the skydancer, and would absolutely exile any dragon in the clan that dared to lay an finger on her with bad intent.
