Dilarus is a master wizard of one of the highest orders. While he was born with little magical ability he trained himself to become so much more. Now he stands next to Ars in pure power and ability. Unlike the progenitor Dilarus uses his magic differently. Dilarus is into summoning and binding. He isn’t interested in the Shade at all, but rather the natural energies of the world. Dilarus has mastered the difficult art of summoning and calling spirits, sprites, imps, lancers and their like and binding them to help around the Caravan. They take physical form under this binding and can act as ‘familiars’ or have other uses. One day though Dilarus summoned something he wasn’t prepared for. He summoned a Lightning elemental and was so unprepared he panicked and sealed it within his first apprentice. The elemental took control over the dragon he’d sealed it within, effectively killing his apprentice. He feels great guilt over what he did to her. At least at the beginning. Now he feels very little guilt as Natta, as the elemental has claimed is called, says that its host is not nor was in pain during the transfer and has gone on to become a sprite herself, like many sprites. This has led to a… complex relationship between Dilarus and Natta that is strained but romantic as well as sexual. Dilarus has some reservations of mating with a literal elemental but that doesn’t stop him from doing it.   |
